Great Hospitality

Cornell was an amazing host! He was very timely in responding to my messages, including anything on the property that needed addressing and an SOS situation. The neighborhood we stayed in was quiet. I also enjoyed the retro environment. I would stay again.

Hosting out of town family

The property was spotless, warm, and inviting. We really enjoyed the comfortable gathering spaces where we could catch up. Older family member appreciated ease of entry and getting around without having to use stairs . Host was very receptive and promptly answered any questions .All in all great experience.

"Feels Like Home!"

Thank you so much for allowing me and my girls to stay at your beautiful abode. The owner's were great with communication and accommodation. I'm big on the 1950s and really enjoyed the retro layout. Me and my girls were so in love with your house they kept asking me to buy it from you, lol. Thank you for allowing us to stay there and I will for sure be looking for your listing when visiting family up north in the future. I think the owners are doing an excellent job with this listing on Vrbo. Thank you again, and keep up the great hospitality 😄

Property was spacious for what we needed it for but could use some updating and TLC. There was an old rag and hair in the bathroom, the mirrors were dirty, the kitchen stove was dirty and the beds weren’t comfortables. We loved the location of the house as it’s near Everything and the neighborhood was quiet which was great having little ones.

When we walked in it smelled like smoke even though it was suppose to be a non-smoking house. The lighting in one room was only like a small office light plus no dresser in that room to but clothes in. She lived out of her suitcase placed in the closet. The mattress's in all the rooms need to be replaced. We had a hard time locating the light switch in the master bath since it was on the opposite wall not at entrance. I am a 74 year old women and almost fell because of the stepdown in living room and the stepdown in the family room. It house was clean but smelled of smoke.

Pros: 1) The location is fantastic. Very quiet neighborhood, close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. 2) The house is spacious. With 3 living areas, there was plenty of room for our family to spread out. 3) Check-in was a breeze. 3) Host was very responsive. 4) The house was clean, plenty of fresh linens, however... Cons: 1) It smelled terrible. Despite the many no smoking signs, it's clear this house has been smoked in for decades. Yellow dripping walls in the bathroom, runny nose every time I walked in the house...yuck. 2) We found most of the kitchen to be useless. There was a melted plastic fork in the oven, so we decided not to cook the frozen pizzas we had purchased. The sink did not drain, and when the garbage disposal was turned on, burnt crumbs came up out of the drain on the other side of the sink. The filter in the coffee maker was clogged so you couldn't even pour water in it. The toaster has never been emptied of crumbs. 3) Inaccurate listing. The listing says the third bedroom has a queen bed and a "twin murphy bed." The host informed us the twin bed referred to the baby bassinet. That wasn't going to work for my 16-year-old. Fortunately, there was an air mattress in the basement. Too bad the basement was freezing. 4) The beds were SO UNCOMFORTABLE. The bed in the main bedroom is about 4 feet off the floor and sunken in the middle. If you're on a budget, this house will do the trick. It's spacious and quiet. However, we will not be staying here again.

Hello Janisha, good afternoon First and foremost, I would like to apologize about your experience here at our Kitchen our Vrbo rental Property. We were going through a transition. And everyone of your complaints have been addressed starting with The cigarette odor, we purchased a huge air purifier and had all the walls professionally cleaned from top to bottom, including the ceilings. We also had a plumber come out to make sure the kitchen sink was not clogged with anything and make sure the dishwasher is fully functional. We did also replace the filter in the coffee maker and replaced toaster. The main queen mattress replacement has been ordered as well because we didn’t realize how uncomfortable it was. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention we do value your input and we would like to offer one free night Stay if you are ever in the area again Due to the inconvenience. We would greatly appreciate it if you could find it in your heart too contact the Vrbo site to have the review removed since all issues have been addressed at this time that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! A 5 star rating is very important to us and goes a long way to helping our family business. Again Thanks for staying with us!
