Clean, Quiet, and Comfortable

The initial impression from the outside was not good....wondering about the safety of the area. Interestingly, the owners were actually at the property doing work to spruce up the outside on our second day there and it does make a difference. We were still leary about going out for a walk late but, of course, it was never actually dark while we were there so it wasn't much of an issue. The unit was definitely super clean and quiet. With a full size refrigerator, a microwave, and a full stove, it'd be perfect for an extended stay. The wifi was superb with better than 15mps and the TV had more than adequate channels for an extended stay. Our reason for rating a 4 instead of a 5 had to do with the little details. There was no soap for the shower (there was a dispenser but it was empty). Also, as we were there for four nights, while we did not expect housekeeping at all, we did find it odd that we were provided only two bath towels for the stay. Overall, we would certainly stay here again with out hesitation. But the little things do mean a lot when you're looking for a short term relaxing stay.

Great location-Great Room-Great Price Our First VRBO Experience

For my husband and I this was great. We came to see our kids so we were not there during the day much but it was great to come back to our own place after a busy day and unwind. Since we were familiar with Fairbanks we liked being close to the airport, shopping and places to eat. I loved the summer Tanana Farmers Market. Yvonne was great, was wonderful to check out her garden everyday as things grow so fast in the summer. The landscaping they have done make the place inviting and the flowers were beautiful. Many of them were named so you knew what you were looking at. An outdoor seating area would be great but really who plans on staying to long when there are so many thing to do in and around Fairbanks. I never thought of keyless entry before but it is a great thing. When you enter the hallway the automatic motion lights light your way. Great way to save. The room was very clean and loved having a couple windows in our corner room. Having a washer and dryer there saved us from hauling clothes and using water at the kids house from their water tank as we did not bring many clothes with us. I had forgot soap for a shower but it was provided along with shampoo and conditioner. I needed an extra towel for my long hair and when I saw Yvonne she did not hesitate to make that happen. We will not hesitate to stay there again next time we visit family. If its during the summer, Hot Licks Ice Cream will surely continue to be my late night favorite, great place also and right on the next corner. Thanks again J & L Jackson Arizona

Outstanding Accommodations

My sister & I booked this apartment for a quick trip to Fairbanks & an Arctic Circle bus tour as part of a much bigger Alaska trip. We really didn't expect much, simply because we just needed a place to stay for 2 nights in order to take the tour. The location was great, very quiet & close to everything.The accommodations were outstanding; spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Everything we could have needed was already there & we were very comfortable. We had the wonderful fortune to meet Yvonne while she was working in her amazing garden and spent a fun hour examining her flowers and vegetables. She is delightful & welcoming and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Actually thinking about returning in the winter for Northern Lights & wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Great place! Would definitely stay again.

Quiet, clean, and conviently located. Yvonne was very welcoming and even enjoyed a short visit with her. I will be staying again when I return. Loved the kitchen. It was like being at home!

Great place

Yvonne was great. We enjoyed stating there. We would do it again. Very clean and quiet, nice kitchen. Bed is great! Have to have good bed! We wished there were more TV stations, yes I know we r on vacation my other have likes his tv in the evening. We will be back. They also have washer/dryer!

very clean, well supplied, quiet, conveniently located, enjoyed the keyless entry and keyless checkin; appreciated the dark curtains for Alaska in the summer. One addition suggestion: an easy chair and lamp for reading. Only two kitchen chairs available.

Just as advertised, perfect for our needs....

The studio apartment was clean, Yvonne texted us to check that all was well, and I really appreciated the keyless entry, since we arrived late, we didn't have to bother anyone. Only recommendations would be for clear instructions for the satellite tv and a comfortable chair or love seat between the bed and kitchen table.

Loved it and would totally stay here again!

Tidy, quiet, and comfy, with laundry facilities available and walkable to a coffee stand if we didn't want to make coffee ourselves... it was perfect for what we needed. Only two things that could be added to improve it... a can opener (thankfully I had my handy dandy leatherman multitool) and a broom/dustpan would have been helpful. I definitely will keep this place in mind for future trips back home!

Our stay at Studio Extended Stay

Pros: The building and studio inside have been completely remodeled, so everything was new and clean. The outside, however, apparently is not finished as the entire yard is nothing but dirt. Having the locks on the front door of the complex is nice and an added security. The location is close to the University, stores & restaurant's, so that was a plus. Cons: The black out curtains are on extended curtain rods, which does not keep the light out, so we had to throw towels and blankets over the windows to keep it dark (we were there during the 24 hours of light). There is nothing to sit on except for the kitchen chairs or bed although there is room for a couple of lounge chairs or a loveseat sofa in the room. We are not out and about all the time so a comfortable place to sit would have been appreciated while watching TV. Apparently there is only basic cable so there were only a handful of stations to watch, which was quite boring. We ended up watching movies on our small lap top in the evenings and it would have been better to have a few movie channels available to watch on the TV. The walls are thin and you can hear the people upstairs walking & scooting chairs on the floor. The laundry room is on the other side of the studio, so when the washer & dryer are going it is loud. Although the kitchen is new, bright and pretty, there are no cabinets at all to store food in so we left our food in bags on the top of the refrigerator or on the table.
