I was visiting family in the area. Had hoped to be able to provide meals for after work individuals. Kitchen was very sparsely furnished. Unable to do much cooking. I have to say it was quite a disappointment compared to other VRBO locations I have stayed in.

The home is beautiful and we would love to stay again. Did find some roach eggs and dead roaches but other than that the stay was good. The owner communicated very very well we booked the wrong days and he accommodated me and my family of 6 very well. And the host was excellent too. Hope this helps someone! And honestly I’ll probably stay again if push comes to shove in the near future!

I would go back but I would not rent that cabin or cabin beside it

First off when we got there the sheets and everything going to the beds was still wet The dryer did not work and there was roaches in the cabin

Bad spot

Bad area, couldnt park cause of people taking up all the spots, drinking and hanging out. Parking lot was shared with the gas station and there was no other parking. Family didnt feel safe so we didnt stay the night and lost out on our money.

Our Family Vacation Review

Nice location, great size, and easy check in. The biggest issue was there was a roach problem. Upon arrival, we had to kill several roaches in almost every room. Many roaches were inside wifi box which is disgusting. We cooked and had to throw away food due to a roach crawling on food. Very BAD roach problem that would make you change your mind about staying. Made our family trip not as good. Also, washer does not work. It just roams clothes around and we had to dispose of shirts that we tried to wash because they got ruined due to washer. Also, the tub does not drain properly while trying to shower. Water fills up after so long.

Everything was good there was a few problems I found with the place the front door door knob had no screws in it so the handle came off in your hand the fold-out couch had no bedding for it and then the second bedroom when you open the closet the wall was open with insulation hanging out. Once those minor things are done I would say it would be one of the nicest places that we've stayed in don't get me wrong it was a nice place it just needed a few minor maintenance issues taken care of

Hoped for better

Great location for events in Foley. It served its purpose I guess, but the property was very basic. Few dishes and towels available for use. No sheets provided for pull out couch. Extra pillows in the closet, but no pillow cases for them. I had to buy more towels, which took 4 cycles in the dryer. Beds weren't comfortable. Worst part was the dirty shower curtain and air vent in bathroom had black discoloration. Mold?

Not the coastal cutie that I thought it was going to be.

I was looking forward to staying in the cute place that was pictured online, but as it turned out, I wasn't able to stay there at all. When I walked in, the place appeared to be clean, but looks can be deceiving. As soon as I opened the door, I smelled a strong odor that to me smelled like cat urine (even though it was advertised as no pets) and it went downhill from there. There was mold around the air vents in the ceiling, in the shower, on both shower curtains, and on the bathtub trim. There was sheetrock missing on one wall in the closet which was the wall behind the bathroom so that led me to believe there had been a leak. Plus, there were water stains around the bottom of the kitchen island. There were holes in the couch and what appeared to be burn holes in the master bedspread. I saw a bug come out of the water heater closet in the kitchen. When I opened the door to the closet, there was white powder which I am assuming was roach powder. Pots and pans were scratched and rusted and knobs missing on kitchen cabinets. Since I have allergies and so do some of my family members that were going to spend time with me, I was unable to stay there and ended up having to find alternate lodging at the last minute with a large event going on in the city. The host was very pleasant and I was eventually able to get (most) of my money back, but it took weeks for that to happen and I was emailing the host and Vrbo practically every day. Very disappointing to say the least.

While the check-in process was smooth, our experience raised serious safety concerns that ultimately led us to leave shortly after arrival.Upon entering the property, we discovered that the exterior door from the living room was unlocked, along with a window in the children’s room. This immediately raised concerns about the security of the home. The property is also located directly behind a Chevron gas station, which contributed to a higher level of activity in the immediate area. Within a short time of arriving, there was a police incident involving individuals on bikes directly behind the parking area, which was very alarming for our family.Due to these issues, we did not feel safe staying at the property and made the decision to leave. We reached out to the property owner to request a refund, but it took a couple of days and a follow-up message to receive a response. We were then directed to submit a support ticket through VRBO to request a refund, which we have done. We are hopeful this will be resolved and that we will receive a refund for the unused nights.Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing, and I would strongly encourage the host to address these safety and communication concerns for future guests.
