The village often hosts events and activities, adding to the area's appeal for visitors and residents alike.
• Community Atmosphere: Eagle Point is known for its friendly community and welcoming atmosphere. It's a place where neighbors know each other and there's a sense of belonging. In Eagle Point and the greater Big Bear Lake area, winter brings stunning snowy landscapes that are a joy to behold. However, it's important to be prepared for driving in these winter conditions.

• Driving: The most common way to get around Eagle Point and the wider Big Bear Lake area is by car. The roads are well-maintained, though they can be challenging during winter months due to snow and ice. Visitors often drive to reach various attractions around the lake, as well as to and from nearby cities.

• Snow Chain Requirements: Please be aware that local laws require the use of snow chains on vehicles during icy or snowy conditions. This is for your safety and the safety of others on the road.

• Up-to-Date Road Details: We understand that navigating winter roads can be challenging. That's why we commit to providing our guests with the latest road condition updates and any necessary travel advisories before your journey. This ensures that you are well-informed and prepared for a safe and enjoyable trip to our home.

• Walking: Eagle Point is a scenic area where walking can be both a mode of transportation and a leisure activity. The neighborhood's serene environment and beautiful landscapes make it enjoyable for leisurely strolls, especially during the warmer months. Walking is also a practical way to navigate the local area, particularly for short distances or when exploring the lakefront and nearby parks.

• Biking: Biking is popular in the warmer months. The area offers several biking trails, and the scenic routes around the lake are ideal for both casual and more adventurous cyclists. Biking is a great way to enjoy the natural beauty of the area while getting from one place to another.

• Public Transportation: Big Bear Lake has limited public transportation options. The Mountain Transit provides bus services around the Big Bear Valley, including routes to and from Eagle Point. This service is convenient for those who prefer not to drive or do not have access to a car.

• Shuttle Services: During peak tourist seasons, especially in winter for ski resorts, there are shuttle services that operate to and from major attractions. These shuttles are a convenient way for visitors to move around without the need for personal vehicles.

• Boating: For those interested in exploring the lake itself, boating is a unique mode of transportation during the warmer seasons. Whether it's through renting a boat or using your own, navigating the waters of Big Bear Lake offers a different perspective of the area and is a popular activity among residents and visitors alike.
