The leafy, gated grounds offer a tranquil sense of peace and security surrounded by tropical trees and foliage. The pool is designed as a centerpiece for outdoor entertainment, with features including a shallow-water sundeck. The adjacent patio offers a shaded place to kick back while you dry off or enjoy a poolside cocktail. An upper terrace and a roof deck offer your choice of scenic spots for sunset gatherings and happy hours. The impressive full kitchen is equipped for family-style cooking and includes an eat-in nook for small meals. Full feasts can be shared around the main dining table. Powerful mini-split air-conditioners and free WiFi round out the home essentials.

Great House for a big group

The layout of the house was great. Tons of room for a group of 13. Two of the rooms had broken A/C which was a bummer, but luckily there are so many rooms/beds we made do. Location is great.

Great for a large family. Pool was great

We had 6 adults and 6 kids under 10 years old. We had more than enough room to sprawl out in this huge house. Very good ac. We loved the pool and it was perfect for our two 3 year-olds with the wading area. Nice patio furniture to relax, read, watch the kids in the pool. Very good eating arrangement. Some suggestions for where to catch the bus would be helpful. Trying to negotiate the bus with small kids is difficult. We rented a van, but that is also a problem with minimal parking at attractions. The van was great for grocery shopping.

No power, dirty

First the house was hot as there was no power. Vacasa guest service who manages the house denied us a refund even though there was no power and it was completely uninhabitable!! Not to mention my brother found a roach in his bedroom

Great space, but has cleanliness/maintenance issues

The good: This was once a beautiful home and the space/layout is spacious and comfortable. There were tons of bedrooms and it was a great space for a bachelor party if you aren't concerned with cleanliness. My group was very happy with the house, but many people would have been upset with the experience. The neighborhood felt safe for a group of dudes and we walked in and out of the city every night. There is also a very nice lady running a convenience store right outside and a taxi driver who speaks good English sitting outside ready to take you anywhere. The bad: there was stuff rotting in a non functioning garbage disposal, a decent amount of cockroaches, electrical breakers caused several power outages we had to figure out how to fix, the place needs a good deep clean and better maintenance in general, the pool filters weren't working properly and there were dead frogs and bugs floating in the pool, wifi was spotty and poor. I hope the owner of this place decides to put the work into maintaining what was once a very beautiful home. This house could be an amazing place to stay if a bit of work and money were put into it.

Making the Best of It

The home has a ton of character and the amount of space was perfect. The check-in process went well and instructions matched what was shared. The property manager was attentive and kind. My overall rating is because of some of the more inconvenient aspects. There was water pressure issues in the kitchen and multiple bathrooms. Toilet in the top bedroom required manual fixes within the bowl in order to flush. There were no kitchen towels. We were prepared to shop, but some of the purchases were unexpected. We did also have a break in to the property while we were away for the main event of our trip. Three laptops and a camera were stolen. Ary was very attentive and explained that there is an independent service or another person who is in charge of monitoring the security cameras. We asked for the cameras to reviewed for the length of time that we were all gone. Instead we received screen shots of the time we left and the time we came back. The timestamps on the video showed that. I followed up with Ary to see if they can revisit the recording and look at the time in between. We were gone for 8 hours. The bathroom window on the ground floor was disturbed and the back patio door pole was bypassed as well. Ary attempted to get the additional footage with no response from the camera attendant. I waited for my review because I wanted to give time to chase it all down. This incident along with some other internal issues caused us to be uncomfortable to stay. We changed locations.

We’re very sorry for the issues you experienced, especially the break-in. We understand how upsetting and disruptive that must have been. Ary did what she could to follow up, but we regret that the third-party camera service did not provide the full footage as requested. We’re reviewing that process to make sure future security concerns are handled more effectively. We also appreciate you pointing out the maintenance and supply issues. The water pressure, toilet, and missing kitchen towels should have been addressed before your arrival, and we’re working to correct those now. Thank you again for your honest review.
