Lookout Cabin in the mountains, Amazing Views!

Thanks for the great review, John. We always communicate well in advance of issues, and I wanted to address two of them here. First, the millipedes. These little things come every few years. We haven't seen any in 5 years, but this year they decided to make a return, especially after a rain. They're completely harmless — they don't bite or sting, and they're not a sign of anything wrong with the cabin, and indoors it's too dry for them, so they dry out pretty quickly. They're just a natural part of mountain life after a good rain. If you're curious, there is a quick read from some reputable entomologists that explains exactly what's going on at pdic.ces.ncsu.edu When they're active, we spray for them between every guest, and while it does reduce them, it doesn't eliminate them. We know that no guest wants these in their cabin, and we do all we can to prevent it. For the record, they are almost all gone now.
