’m sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations. Before your arrival, we notified you that the HVAC at the condo had failed and offered you a significantly larger lakefront property as an alternative. That home typically rents for substantially more and was provided at no additional cost in an effort to minimize any inconvenience. Regarding the towels and laundry, there is a laundry room accessible through the adjoining door from the studio, where additional towels were available, along with those already provided in the unit. To further accommodate your group, we paid to have both units cleaned so we could move your guests back to Cuscowilla when requested. We truly made every effort to address your concerns and provide a positive experience. While we understand that the accommodations ultimately did not meet your expectations, we believe we went above and beyond to resolve the situation. For a reservation of $114 per night in a gated golf course community, we provided access to a lakefront property that typically rents for 5 times that amount. We could have simply canceled the reservation due to the HVAC issue, but instead chose to provide what we felt was a much better alternative. We sincerely regret that our efforts were not satisfactory and wish you the very best in your future travels.

This property is an efficiency unit, and while it’s compact, we’ve worked hard to make it as comfortable and well-appointed as possible—allowing us to offer an affordable stay within one of the most beautiful and exclusive golf and country club communities on the lake. For future reference, the iron is located in the laundry area on top of the washer and dryer, and the ironing board is hung on the back of the bathroom door to save space. Extra toilet paper is stored in the cabinet above the commode, and we’ll make a note to include tissues as a helpful addition—thank you for that suggestion. Regarding the door lock, it does have a unique mechanism: the handle lifts straight up before turning the knob to lock or unlock. These locks are standard throughout this section of the community. We appreciate you mentioning this, and we’ll be sure to include a short video tutorial in our check-in instructions to make things even easier for future guests. The pots and pans are in the cabinet because the kitchen is small. We have tried to make the most use of space in the unit. The bed is a queen size bed just as advertised. I am not sure of a stain on the comforter, I apologize and we will get it changed immediately. Also not sure about the bath mats. There are extra sheets, towels, and bath mats provided in the laundry room for you to use. We also have our number in the notebook when you come in. I wished you would have called with any issues and we would have been right there. We did not hear a word. We do try and provide the nicest accommodations within a gated golf and country club community for $114 a night. I am sorry we did not meet your expectations. We will try harder for a good guest experience.
