Inside, a farmhouse kitchen with a professional gas range and butcher-block island anchors the home, opening onto a dining area warmed by a large stone fireplace. Step outside to a wraparound porch, a stone fire pit built for evening cook-outs, and gardens surrounded by open lawn and woods — all on a quiet private road.

You're centrally located for exploring the Litchfield Hills and southern Berkshires: watch the races at Lime Rock Park, hike Bear Mountain or the Great Falls loop, catch a summer concert at Music Mountain, ski or bike at Catamount, or spend an afternoon on Lake Wononscopomuc in nearby Lakeville.
