Large group lakeside getaway on Big Yellow Lake!! Pet friendly!!

Welcome to The Compound - your own private resort type stay on Yellow Lake! We are well suited for families or a friends get away. Our 3 cabins offer a variety of options for sleeping space. The extra large deck with a covered space is a great area for gathering, sitting back and reading a good book, grilling and dining. Down by the lake we have a large brick fire pit area and Tiki bar. Need dock space?? We've got one of those too so bring the boat! All 3 cabins feature their own bathroom and 2 cabins are equipped with a kitchen.
Want to bring the dog? We love dogs!! We even have a dog house and outdoor kennel should that suit your needs. **Pets incur an additional charge and must be included at time of reservation**

On site amenities include: Paddle boat, 2 adult kayaks, 1 youth kayak and a stand up paddle board. Various yard games and cornhole available for your use. We provide an ample amount of firewood as well as propane for the grill with a spare tank available should you need more! Each cabin is equipped with a coffee station cuz everyone needs a good cup of Joe while they watch the sunrise!! Our cabin(s) are equipped with everything you need for grilling, slow cooking, deep frying and baking. Laundry facilities are also available.

Yellow Lake features access to two lakeside bar/restaurants and the best meat raffle around! Little Yellow lake is also accessible. Fish, tube, ski, swim, kayak, canoe-- our lake offers something for everyone! If a golfing adventure is what you are craving, Fox Run and Voyager Village courses are just a short drive away.

If you like to UTV, all our roads are open to the vast trail system in our area. We are located 15 minutes from the Danbury launch.

The property is beautiful, with a wonderful view of the peaceful lake which is fun to swim and kayak in! The cabins are really nice and have anything you could possibly need during your stay. The owners are available to help in any way! Highly recommend this property!

Amazing stay

The three cabins worked out perfectly so all had their own space but we could come together on the large deck and at the firepit. Communication with the owner was very good. We loved the kayaks, paddleboat, and sandy area. Highly recommend!!

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The cabins were clean well stocked and very comfortable. The addition of the canopy over the outside counter was terrific. The entire layout of property was great. Would definitely stay again!

Golf Trip and lake weekend

This was a great place to stay. It had everything a lake property should have. All three cabins were very clean and the lake view cabin had a great hang out deck over looking the lake! Susan was very quick to respond with any questions and accommodated us nicely. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this place for whatever trip you are planning.

Nice set up

The cabins had a great set up that provided privacy with the use of 3 different cabins. Easy lake access, nice deck. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. Sue was awesome to work with. Loved it.

Great property for extended family vacation

We enjoyed our stay at "The Compound". Three cabins on the property allowed our large family to be together yet have space. We had 11 people from age 11 months to age 65 and had plenty of room. We enjoyed the very large deck gathering area, had a fire one evening with plenty of room on the patio to enjoy s'mores. Beds were comfortable. The hosts were very quick to respond to questions and to provide help with great communication. We'd be happy to stay again! If you are looking for a vacation spot for a larger family - this is a great property!

Family Connections

As a family of 15 people ranging from 7 months to early 60s, it can be difficult to find a property that fulfills the needs of everyone. This property exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the fishing, swimming, evening fires, and areas for game playing-Candy Land and Kuube tournaments. Highly recommend this property.

North Woods Get-Away

This is a beautiful setting for a relaxing family vacation get-away. The cabins are set up to allow privacy within the group, yet provides deck and fire pit space to congregate and enjoy the outdoors and lakes. We loved the peace and quiet on the lake, while being a 10 minute drive to Webster, Danbury, and many other local attractions. Scott & Sue went out of their way to extend hospitality during our stay at their unique family compound. We could not have asked for better hosts.

Amazing Property!

We did our annual Guys Weekend with friends from all walks of life. And we all had the space needed to enjoy (everyone had a cozy bed)! Clean and spacious. You can tell the owners value the property and care for those staying. Zero issues. Our group said this is by far the best spot we’ve had. Been to Yellow Lake for 15 plus years, so that hopefully says a lot!

Family Compound

"The Compound" accurately describes this property! Our large group fit perfectly, separate sleeping areas for each family to have private space yet, great communal areas for meals and gathering. We spent SO much time on the large outdoor deck which was wonderful. Plenty of dock space for our boats. Would definitely recommend this property! Sue and her Husband are very responsive and willing to work with you based upon your needs.
