Great space and great view!

The property looked as shown in the photos. There were extra rental steps after I booked through VRBO. There was communication from property managers. It was difficult to determine which building I needed to check in but managers were easy to get a hold of and very helpful, coin laundry not near your unit. Fully stocked kitchen and great ocean views. I would recommend this place!

My family had a great time at the beach , the location across the boardwalk is unbeatable literally a few feet from the beach and a block from restaurants and shops , the condo is updated and fully equipped, great communication with the owners they were very professional and a phone call away ! Will definitely stay here again !

Very nice unit

The unit is very nice. It has been updated beautifully. It is located at the north end of Pacific Beach close to restaurants and bars. The owners have included beach toys, boogie boards, beach umbrella, and others. We watched beautiful sunsets during our stay. The only issues are the building is old and not updated. Also, the unit does not have air conditioning which was a big issue during our stay.

This condo overlooks the beach and is just steps from the beach. It has all been redone and was beautiful. The owners thought of everything to make our stay perfect. First time we've had shampoo, conditioner, wash provided. I can't think of one negative thing to say.

Holiday Getaway

Great place to stay in Pacific Beach. First, the place was very clean. The pictures are accurate. Second, we had everything we needed to cook the meals we planned. Third, the beach was steps away and the places we visited were easily accessible. Having a parking spot was great. If you are looking for a place with access to the beach, the ocean front, and the best of San Diego, put this place on your list.

Everything great. Only negatives were refrigerator water filter was over 2 years old so bought water for ice and drinking. TV instructions were out of date and key is difficult to use on downstairs door coming inside. Easy fixes for management. Would definitely go back!!

Great Location and Stunning Views!

This condo overlooks the beach and boardwalk and did not disappoint! We come to PB every year and this is a new favorite. It was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed (including the fantastic kitchen). Noise was not an issue and the view is unbeatable. The building itself is old and dated, but as another reviewer suggested, you just have to get over it. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the sole elevator had some problems during our stay and there were times we had to take the stairs 4 flights with gear. Overall, I would recommend this unit and would stay there again.

We had a great three week stay, the location was within walking distance of many restraunts, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen had any utensil you could ever need, the furnishings were extremely comfortable and the parking was so easy because it was underneath the building, and the view was fantastic. Our only concern was the elevator wasn't always working but that is the responsibility of the building maintenance company. we would definitely stay here again!

Pacific Ocean Views

My husband and I lived in San Diego 50 years ago and had never returned until now! Having spent the last several winters in Florida, it was a refreshing change to be among the Millennials rather than the Boomers! (We were definitely in the minority.) Even though it was spring break time, everyone was enjoying themselves and there were no behavior issues that we witnessed. (Alcohol is illegal on the beach.) The condo was very updated, clean and well appointed with great views from the 4th floor for people and surfer watching. It was nice to have a secure, designated underground parking spot. There are many restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store close by as well. We did not use the bikes as the boardwalk was usually too crowded with people to make it enjoyable. The only caveat I would mention is that the condo is on a cliff with 55 steps down to the beach, so if your knees are short on cartilage like my husband's, you may want to think twice. However there is a more gradual access to the beach farther south along the boardwalk. Although the condo is very up-to-date, the building itself is showing some age, e.g. the elevator did not work 3 out of the 8 days we were there which was good exercise for me, but not so great for anyone with mobility issues. One of the recliners on the couch was broken, and the key to the building was very tricky and a frustration all week. The staff at Nancy's Vacations were wonderful to work with....great communication before and during the stay, not only about the condo but also about the city and its attractions. You don't always get an answer when you call, but usually get a call back within 15-30 minutes. Overall we were very please and would recommend this condo. Hopefully it won't be another 50 years before we return!

Perfect Beach Vacation

This is the perfect beach vacation condo! We stayed for 7 days and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The unit has an unobstructed ocean view and is on the 4th floor which allowed us to keep the windows open all night and enjoy the cool breeze and hear the waves. It’s outstanding location meant we could walk everywhere we wanted to go! The condo is beautifully decorated and well laid out. Plenty of space for us all. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything anyone could need. They provided plenty of beach chairs and towels which was highly appreciated. The customer service from Nancy’s Vacation Rentals was outstanding! Excellent communication and just a text away if needed. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for more! Simply put, this was the perfect beach vacation.

Nice unit in a building that needs lots of work

We arrived in the evening and the building and garage were difficult to find. Once in, we took the very old and dirty elevator and walked along the dirty rugs in the hallway to our unit on the 4th floor. We were greeted by a blast of hot and stuffy air (ok understandable, all the windows were closed) . While we were searching for the lights we were happy to find an air conditioning unit in the bedroom. Unfortunately, the owners had placed a lock on it so it could not be used, apparently this must be rented ahead of time. We opened up all the windows and put the ceiling fan on and it was ok. We were exhausted so we went to sleep ( the queen size bed is very comfortable). At 6am every morning there is a wake up call from the garbage trucks . There is also ongoing construction . On the 3rd day the elevator was taken out of service for the remainder of our 10 day stay. We became quite familiar with the stairwell as we carried our beach chairs, or groceries or any other reason to get in and out of our unit , up the 4 flights of stairs. It's hard to imagine that the homeowners were not advised that the elevator would be out of service. The unit is clean, well furnished , comfortable bed (and murphy bed) and affords a spectacular view of the ocean from the living room windows. The pool was fine, the hot tub was nasty . There is construction all around so nowhere to lounge. The beach is right there and we got new beach chairs and an umbrella. It does have a tremendous amount of seaweed though. We discovered that the beach on the other side of the pier didn't seem to have much seaweed. The beach cruisers were also fine. The unit is nice, but given the terrible condition of the building, we would not rent it again.

Everything within a block.

We arrived Sunday, Google maps will tell you to turn onto Emerald St., but don't you get to the parking lot from Diamond St. BUT the condo was perfect! It was clean, keys, bikes and beach chairs were where we were told they would be. All appliances worked, never felt like we were staying in someone else's place. There were great restaurants, all within a block. We'd recommend Oscar's Mexican Seafood, Dirty Birds and Mr. Moto's Pizza. The beach was beautiful..the water was cold... (we went mid May) but the scenery was gorgeous. ALSO Nancy's management was super helpful and prompt in answering questions.

Pacific Beach

We recommend a car for navigating San Diego, but public transportation is just a couple blocks away. If you`re planning to stay put in Pacific Beach, there is no need for cars! Just ride our provided bikes or walk the neighborhood.

Policies & What to Expect

Arrival/Departure Policy:
Check in time is 3 pm and strictly enforced. (From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, check-in is at 4pm)
Check out time is 11 am.
Please follow all instructions for your arrival and departure in our email and phone call correspondence. There is signage around the home to assist with the use of amenities and questions that you may have during your stay. We are available too, even after hours-give us a call!

Nightly Minimum Policy:
HOA requires a 6 night minimum
6 nights AND a Saturday Check-in is REQUIRED during peak season (June - August). Arrival on Friday or Sunday instead may be an option.
(Please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you!)

☀️ Holiday 2025 Policy:
6 night minimum AND Saturday check-in is REQUIRED during our holiday season (December 20-January 3). One reservation CANNOT take both holidays, unless it is a 2-week reservation. There are no arrivals OR departures on Christmas or New Year's Day.
*An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you!

☀️ Summer 2025 Policy:
Beginning Memorial Day to Labor Day, Saturday to Saturday is required with 6-7 night reservations. On July 4th 2025, check-in or check-out is NOT permitted. An arrival on a Friday or Sunday may be possible, please inquire if your group needs accommodations that are different as we may be able to accommodate you.

Last Minute Booking Policy:
If a guest books with us directly or on any OTA such as Airbnb and VRBO, within 72 hours of arrival, verification credentials are required. By making a payment on the reservation, the guest agrees to comply with our last minute booking policy.

To properly vet a guest with such short notice requires the following; a “selfie” photo specifically of the booking guest’s face and holding either a Driver’s License, Passport or State ID photo under their chin.

We are just looking for a name to match and the photo on the ID to match that of the person in the selfie. This can be sent by email or text to our company email address. Additionally, we need to confirm guest details such as payment, contact information, applicable check-in time, number of guests and ages, any pets, etc.

This process is required, and if a guest refuses to comply then the reservation will be canceled. We have found this procedure to be successful in avoiding fraud, and protecting all parties! We appreciate your cooperation and we are available to help with any questions.

🐾 Pet Policy: This property is NOT pet-friendly. HOA will fine for non-service animals.

Rate Policy: Prices change on a daily basis so the rates you see today may be higher or lower when booking!

Age Policy: We do not typically rent to guests under the age of 25 or large parties. Please contact us prior to booking to see how we may accommodate your group.

After booking:
We manage properties on behalf of our owners. Upon confirming your booking, we will send you a rental agreement for your upcoming stay which you will need to complete. This agreement reviews our terms and conditions, house rules and policies, and what to expect of your stay. We will also contact you within 24 hours of the booking to obtain contact information and to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your upcoming visit. The check-in details will not be shared until the rental agreement has been signed, payment has been made, and the guest has connected with one of our guest services agents.

In addition to completing our electronic rental agreement, you will also be required to participate in our identity verification process. The Verify Hub service is offered through Autohost; an intelligent guest screening software that automates ID verifications, background and credit checks, security deposits and more, helping to improve guest experience and safety. Please note: for the credit card verification, a $2 hold will be placed on the card to run the report. This hold will never process and will fall off automatically within 7 days.

Property Appearance:
Vacation rentals in San Diego are for the most part, second homes for the owners. Therefore, some furniture or decor may differ from what is pictured because the owners needed or wanted to replace something. Professional photos are expensive and we can not re-photograph the rental every time something is changed but we do maintain the listing content with any notable furnishing changes especially related to sleeping arrangements. (*Please note: We do not give refunds because a piece of furniture or artwork has changed)

Property Responsibilities:
If you have never stayed in a vacation rental before, we are not a hotel, WE ARE BETTER! We offer many of the same luxuries of a hotel with the comfort and space of home to share with your whole family. Our property owners are our friends and we work with each owner to offer a special, specific and ideal environment for guests to experience and enjoy. All of our homes offer similar amenities so you can expect the same experience whenever staying with us.

With that said, we need you to do your part in helping us maintain each home. Please be attentive to ALL RESPONSIBILITIES as a guest of our home. Trash/Recycling, Check-out duties, Communication to management, Replacement of keys/fobs/remotes, and Care of the home all help us give each guest and family a home to feel at home in. We appreciate your assistance in making our homes and our business unlike any other!

ALL OF OUR PROPERTIES ARE NON-SMOKING. ❌ 🚬
Many buildings are also managed by HOAs who will fine guests for misconduct.

Noise:
This home is in a residential neighborhood and, as such, is a NOISE SENSITIVE property. Respect must be shown for the property and neighbors at all times. No loud music, parties, and or loud talking outside after 9 pm. Violation of these rules MAY result in immediate eviction from the property per your rental agreement, and/or fines from the San Diego Police. Please review your rental agreement for complete details and rules about your home!

Starter Kit/Guest Essentials:
We like our guests to feel at home as soon as they arrive! We provide a ‘starter kit’ to help our guests get settled without needing to rush off to the store. Our kits include: paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, soap, linens, towels, kitchen sponges, dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, dishwasher soap when applicable, trash bags, extra blankets, sometimes extra pillows, extra sheets-for sleeper sofas, hair dryers, ironing boards, kitchens fully stocked-enough for max occupancy with some extra settings, toasters, some waffle makers, blenders, tool kits, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and co2/fire detectors.
