Das Graces Beach House gehörte Grace Withey und wurde von Pat und Mike Withey verwaltet. Im Dezember 2012 verstarb Grace im Alter von 90 Jahren. James Patrick [Pat] und Mike Withey haben Graces geerbt und verwalten es immer noch. 2009 entschloss sich Grace, ihr Haus umzugestalten. Dazu gehörte es, es bis auf die Nieten auszukernen und das Haus komplett mit neuem Material umzubauen.

Das Haus befindet sich in South Mission Beach und ist ein Einfamilienhaus. Es ist eines der wenigen Ocean Front-Einfamilienhäuser, von denen die meisten Eigentumswohnungen sind und aus 2 oder 3 Wohneinheiten bestehen. South Mission ist viel leiser und zurückhaltender als North Mission, und ich glaube, es ist viel schöner und besser für Familien und Urlauber im Ruhestand geeignet. Die Promenade ist direkt vor dem Grundstück, dann ein riesiger weißer Sandstrand und dann der Pazifik. Dies ist ein wunderschöner Ort und ein großartiger Ort zum Leben oder Besuchen.

Wonderful location

Had a great time, only complaint was the weather, sun was shining for only about an hour the whole weekend. Great spot for a relaxing vacation to catch up with family, would definitely stay there again.

Great location and Management

My husband, sister and I stayed at this comfortable house right on Mission beach. All of us 80 year olds became volleyball enthusiasts watching all the games across from the patio. The house has comfortable seating and provides a great selection of cooking pots and utensils as well lots of dishes, linens and towels. The owners were very helpful. It was a great week on Mission Beach.

Wonderful beach week

We absolutely loved our stay here. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The location was the best part. We loved being right on the boardwalk. It allowed us to go to the beach as much as we wanted without having to pack kids and supplies into the car.There were plenty of beach toys, chairs, and towels. It was nice to have a pack and play available so we didn’t have to fly with a crib.The only downside was the cleaning status. The bathrooms and kitchen were nicely cleaned. However, on arrival one of the beds had clearly been slept in and not changed. The house overall could use a deep cleaning (lots of dust, dirty blinds, outdoor furniture not cleaned, etc). It wasn’t enough to bring down my overall rating, but some more attention to housekeeping would be a good idea.I would absolutely stay here again, but I hope it’s a little cleaner next time.

Relaxation and volleyball on the beach

We had an incredible 5 nights at Grace's Place. This home is one-of-a-kind: A standalone, 3 bedroom oasis a short hop over the boardwalk to the beach, volleyball, and ocean. The kitchen is nicely outfitted for all of the seafood cooking we did, the outdoor space is wonderful for enjoying the sun at home, and the home is spacious and open enough for everyone to spread out or watch movies and play games together. Thank you for listing this wonderful space!

Fantastic Vacation

We absolutely loved our stay at Graces Beach House! The location was perfect on the boardwalk/beach and close to everything. It had everything that we needed and was very clean. Spring Break 2025

Adorable little beach house

We absolutely loved our stay here. The beach is just steps from the door. Our 6 year old loved walking every morning looking for seashells and sand dollars. The house has plenty of sand toys and beach towels/chairs. It also has a really well stocked kitchen with basic spices, Tupperware, even Saran Wrap and ziplock bags, a variety of pots/pans that don’t stick and knives that actually cut! It’s in a great location at the south end of mission beach, which is definitely much quieter for families with small children. And a perfect launch point for SeaWorld and the zoo. This place is a real gem!

Great location & house

Very nice location, perfect spot for small family right across from the beach. Our kids loved being able to sit in the patio and run over to play in the sand and water. The house was clean and had everything we needed for cooking or playing. Plenty of sand toys and towels as well as beach chairs. The patio was also really nice. Easy to check in, and we appreciated being able to get in a little early. We would definitely stay again. I also appreciated that it was a single unit.

Mission Beach

The location on the quiet end of Mission Beach. The location was convenient to go to the zoo and Old Town. It was comfortable for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The kitchen had the dishes and cooking supplies the make meals. Pat was very helpful answering the questions we had. It was a great trip!

Perfect beach getaway!

My husband and I stayed with our 2 year old and loved every minute. Being right on the beach was amazing and we were a 7 minute walk to a playground and near so many amenities. The house was great and had everything we could need. We’ll definitely be back!

Best Birthday ever!

The property was the perfect cozy spot along the boardwalk to spend my 40th birthday with my husband and our kids. It was outside of the busiest areas so the spot was quiet and peaceful but you could easily walk to Belmont Park for brunch or dinner. We enjoyed our time here and appreciated the great communication, easy check in, and available parking.

Great! Such an awesome location

Myself and 3 friends stayed in this property for a long weekend in Nov. We had a lovely time. The location is wonderful - right on the boardwalk, oceanview, can walk to tons. Nice they offer bikes (and locks). Kitchen had a few spices (no oils or condiments) and we used the grill. I would stay here again for sure. Pat even let us drop our bags early and he let my friends stay 1 hour past check out! Sunsets are so nice here! Plenty of towels and pillows! Would recommend the bar "The Pennant" right there - food in the back is cash only. Was a nice "dive bar". Random things I was not expecting and want to pass along (not big deals, but worth mentioning): I was mailed a paper lease to sign and return. There is a credit card fee that doesn't show up until you try to book. These are just FYIs and did not affect my stay.

Great location and patio

Had a great long weekend stay with family. The private patio right on the boardwalk and all the included beach chairs and toys were awesome to have access to. A little dated, but perfectly nice place to stay. Easy communication with the hosts about check in and check out. We didn’t have any issues during our stay, but I believe Pat is nearby if needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

San Diego Offshore Fishing Weekend

Fantastic property! Location is superb for beach, restaurants, grocery, marina, etc. Communication with owner was easy, along with check-in process. Highly recommend, and will stay there again if we get the chance.

Had the best time ever! Very clean, comfortable beds. Everything you need to stay! We enjoyed staying there it was easy to get to! Parking was ok for one car! Lots of beach towels, coffee pods and other items! Would definitely stay again

Our mother Grace Withey was the owner but recently passed away in December 2012 at 90 years old and Pat and I inherited Graces. My wife and I live in Topeka KS. and moved here to watch our son Jeffree Withey play basketball at KU. My brother Pat who lives 2 blocks away does all maintenance and checks in and out vacationers and I do inquiries and bookings. We hope you choose Graces Beach House for your next vacation.
