I loved this property and its amenities. The team that manages this property at Great Escapes were exceptional and I would recommend them as well as this house for a stay in Corolla.

Nice large house for the price. Pool and hot tub are also very nice. More stairs than we anticipated but we got used to it.

Overall, our stay was okay, but the home didn't match our expectations. The biggest issue was cleanliness—we noticed dirty floors, cobwebs, dust, bugs, stained furniture, a musty smell, and visible mold in the showers. The property also felt dated, missing blinds etc. With better cleaning and maintenance, it has the potential to provide a much better guest experience.

The house was nasty. There was food on cabinets and in drawers. We also found dishes in the cabinets with food on them, so we had to wash everything before we could use it. The floors were so dirty and not mopped that when we walked barefoot are feet were black with dirt. The beds were clean as well as bathrooms. The pool and jacuzzi were nice. The host was pleasant. I cannot give a referral and would not book this home again.

We promptly came to the Home to check out her concerns and when we spoke to her family, they told us that the home was very clean and they were having a really good time and they would like to come back again, so we are very surprised that she would put a six out of 10 review after us having that interaction with her family!

Our Father

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Our Father. Everything was as we hoped upon arrival. Great accommodations for everyone in our group. The pool and hot tub were big hits.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. The host was very accommodating. We had a broken coffee pot and they brought a replacement same day. Our beds were very comfortable, clean linens etc. We even were told we could enter early. We werent far from the beach (at least 3 blocks) but carrying items to the beach was a chore. No place to park close so walking to the beach with chairs, towels, speakers etc proved to be challenging. A wagon or cart would be helpful, although there was a cart, it had broken plastic wheels. We enjoyed the pool the most, which had built in seating areas on the sides to relax. The living and bedroom space was wonderful and as advertised. No tv in bunk room, but that worked in our favor as our teen grandson had to be in living space with us! Stairs! At least two flights everytime you go in or out. If you have someone with challenges going up the stairs, expect to get a workout. My legs were screaming by the weeks end, but it was a great workout. My only complaint was the balcony, which made us a little uneasy on the third floor. Some of the boards were loose, and you could feel their age. I did let management know when we left, so hopefully they took that seriously, as we did not feel safe on it. Not really a complaint, but some of the furnishings were a bit outdated. Functionally everything was fine. The huge dining room table was a plus as it fit all eleven of us. Overall we had a great stay! We would definitely stay here again.

The pool and hot tub were great. Great location. Property in need of updates. It was not very clean, no rugs, not comfortable. Check out required a lot of extra work when you pay for the cleaning fee.

Peace and quiet

Corolla Drive is a very quiet and pleasant residential area. Restaurants and groceries less than 3 miles. Home was more than we needed, but we like extra space. We really hope to return another season. Heated private pool was a fantastic feature! Wished for lamps for reading and end tables for coffee cups, but we worked that out. Thumbs up and 5 stars

Wonderful

The house was great for all our needs. We had a few things that needed replaced or fixed and our requests were taken care of in a timely manner. When we got there we noticed there was no gate to put up at the top of the stairs to keep my disabled 4 year old safe. We messaged the rental company and they got a gate to us within a couple hours. They also replaced the outside umbrella that was broken and fixed the hot tub when it wouldnt heat up. Overall we had a great time and i would rent this house again.
