Private, Peaceful Retreat panoramic views of Lake Austin from living room and outdoor deck with private lake access dock walking distance. Voted best view in Austin!
This home is perfect for those seeking a peaceful, quiet retreat proximate to modern convenience. 15/20 mins to downtown Austin
-2 bedrooms. One has a queen bed the other has a pullout sofa bed. Both are decorated nicely and have clothing space.
The bathroom has a full size bathtub and has just been reglazed
Kitchen comes with all things to make a full meal.
*Some kitchen cabinets are locked as they are private. Living room has a 60ā€ smart tv with all of the apps installed
Bluetooth stereo speaker, Record player with vinyl, books, games etc
Coffee maker with complimentary coffee & tea for our guests in the mornings
Our house is on a private dead end street so lots of peacefulness and beautiful walking trails right outside of the door
-Jacuzzi is a soft tub outside and requires an extra fee for heating and cleaning. Plz message us at least 3-4 days prior if youā€™d like us to set that up
*we offer early check in and late check out (if available) for an extra fee plz inquire prior
*We have lake access within a 5 minute walking distance with a private HOA swim dock and tennis court.
Rules:
* Please read all rules before booking as these are very important and cannot be changed at all No refunds are accepted and you must verbally state that you agree in the messages. Rules: -no animals of any kind are allowed including service animals
-no smoking of any kind is allowed
-no parties or social gatherings with more than 4 people are allowed at all times
-main person booking must be over the age of 25 years of age

*there is a security camera outside only that records and monitors 24 hrs a day for security purposes. If any of these rules are broken you will be asked to vacate the home Asap and will not receive a refund *You will be the only ones staying at the house of course , we do lock a few closets and some of the cabinets as we live here part time as itā€™s not for use.

signs and locks throughout the home to not use. Food in refrigerator and freezer for the owner a bit off putting. conflicting check-in times, sent message to owner for clarification . A different person replied. Accidentally showed up at one time, cleaning crew still there. Owner sent sharp message back. We felt very unwelcome like we were an imposition. Skolie in front of property with broken window boarded up with cardboard and sign for rental. Dead insects in window sills just after cleaning crew had been in property.

From the beginning of our experience, it was absolutely awful. The host was aggressive and rude.We were in town for Formula 1 with a client and let the host know this beforehand. We traveled to our event in a U-Haul truck, and she started threatening to call the police because that's what we pulled up in. She is screaming about an HOA that doesn't exist. Fun fact her neighbor attende my event and had quite a bit to say about that situation. Mind you there literally a trashed bus parked in front that has a for rent sign on it. Picture attached. The house was gross. The co pot had old moldy coffee in it. The bed was covered in dog hair. They failed to mention that they actually lived in this house so there was absolutely no room in the freezer to store anything and there was one shelf in the fridge. We rented the space for 5 days. Everything was padlocked and had do not touch signs on it. If we had known they lived there, we would have never rented the space. It is not a getaway cabin at all. We had four people who were planned to stay at the house, but there was so much pet dander that I had to pay 1100.00 to get a hotel room for the other two guests because everything was sold out. She let me know that her house was worth 3, then threatened to charge me thousands of dollars if I messed with her because she was a world-renowned DJ and knew how events worked. It was insane! I have video proof and texts to prove everything I say.
They clearly live here and it's very unorganized.
Patio was trashed.

The view was absolutely stunning, and the house itself was beautifully decorated and very clean. We appreciated the thoughtful touches in the space and the overall aesthetic.However, several aspects of the stay made it difficult for us to fully relax. Since the hosts live in the home most of the time, there were quite a few personal areas that were off-limits, many with signs warning that alarms would sound if covers were moved. This made the space feel more restrictive than we expected.Additionally, while the thermostat had a sign indicating we could adjust the temperature within a set range, it was locked, which was confusing and a bit frustrating. The house manual was helpful in providing guidelines, but there were an overwhelming number of rules, many with strict instructions and warnings about potential charges if anything personal appeared ā€œtampered with.ā€We donā€™t mind tidying up before departure, but the expectations were extremely specificā€”down to returning items to their exact location, stating they had photos as reference. This level of detail, combined with the tone of the manual, made the experience feel more like staying in someoneā€™s private home than in a rental meant for guests.Overall, while the property itself was lovely, the strict rules and atmosphere made it hard to feel completely at ease.

Beautiful View

My granddaughter and I had the best time staying here. With floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area, we had a perfect view of the lake. We enjoyed our walks throughout the pretty neighborhood. The host was very attentive and the house was clean and tidy. We would definitely stay there again!

Lake house Perfection

The lake house was perfect again, this was my second time staying here. It was exactly as advertised , beautifully decorated, peaceful, and those views are the best Iā€™ve seen! It's a great place to relax, be close to the city. I made a beautiful dinner at the house and ate by the firepit on the beautiful large deck. Felt like I was in a movie! Charming, peaceful, and exactly as advertised. Thank you again canā€™t wait to come back!

Water view is the primary reason to stay

As I mentioned previously with the host and VRBO customer service, it is VRBO's policy for the homes we rent not to be the owner's primary residence. That was not the case with this home. If you are comfortable with personal things in the home including perishables in the refrigerator and locked doors and cabinets, this is a home for you.

Perfect for a weekend getaway

My husband and I booked this home for a weekend trip to getaway during our anniversary vacation. My hubby can be difficult to please but couldnā€™t stop complimenting the choice I made on this house! We enjoyed the views of the lake and the location was beautiful, with plenty of great food and parks nearby to try.

Would not recommend to any of my family or friends

Credit where credit is due, the location and view of the lake is great, and the house is very cute HOWEVER this is not the VRBO you want if you want to 'make yourself at home' there were so many rules to read through before the stay, and the owner freaked out when my fiance came to look at the place for 15 minutes maybe she thought he stayed there? I don't know but I never had more than the capacity of people at the house anytime, she proceeds to send me screenshots of every person that walked in front of the camera which is why it hard not to feel constantly watched, after the stay she tried to charge me over 300 dollars extra because there were 6 people which was not true at all! Don't plan on being able to actually enjoy the lake unless you don't mind the longer than 15 minute walk through the neighborhood, down flights of rocks steps. I brought paddle boards but there was no way I was hauling those down there, funny they already have paddle boards down there but don't expect to be able to use them as guests as there's nothing that says you can. No wonder this was one of the only VRBOs left before ACL fest, don't plan on cooking in there either, pretty much all utensils are locked up,
