Our four generations enjoyed our stay. There was ample room to have privacy if we wanted to have time alone. We enjoyed the pool and it was nice to be able to have our dog with us.

The house was in a great neighborhood around milepost 6.5. Good location to the usual restaurants and stores we like to visit. Across the street from Target and the Movie Theater also. We walked to a pier on the sound side to watch the sun set a few times. We loved having our own private pool to relax in after spending the mornings at the beach. We will definitely stay here again in the future if it's available.

Very nice spot near the sound!

We enjoyed our stay! Short walks to the sound for sunsets and close to restaurants. We would recommend for a family. Pets allowed was a big plus.

Okay, not great

Nice location, conveniently located. Home was not deep cleaned. All linens were not washed. Beds were not made upon arrival. Home/furniture needs some updating. Having a pool was very nice. However, pool was not cleaned before arrival (full of pine needles and sand). Pool guy came during the middle of the week, but did not clean/vacuum the pool then either. Only 2 dishwasher tabs and 1 roll of toilet paper left; wish this would have been communicated that these household items would not be provided. It would have been nice to have paper towels, spray cleaner, Clorox wipes, etc to keep home tidy. I had to also purchase these on my own. I’ve rented many VRBOs over the years and always been provided with these basics. Home served its purpose, but I would not rent again.

Stop Scrolling and Go With This Property!

There really aren’t words that are adequate to describe how perfect everything is about this property, but I will try: CLEAN, spacious, NO weird smells (if you know, you know), quiet, fun, has literally everything you need right there, convenient location within walking distance to so many things (sunsets on Bay Drive, grocery store, restaurants, walking/bike riding trail). The pool is the perfect size and also has an amazing outdoor shower. Very secure for dogs and kids! Our family was so sad to have to leave after mornings on the front porch having coffee and afternoons playing in the pool, and also our movie nights downstairs on the big screen while lounging on the sectional sofa! We cant say enough great things about this property or the owner (great communication). Oh and lastly, it was very easy to control how cool the house was. Im ALWAYS hot but wasn't hot even once in the house (which I wouldn’t have thought possible)!! Look no further, you will love On Wings of Eagles!!!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at On Wings of Eagles in Kill Devil Hills! The house was beautiful, super clean, and well-equipped — everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. One of the biggest highlights for us was how dog-friendly it was. Our three black labs were welcomed, and they had plenty of space to enjoy both inside and out.The private pool was a huge bonus and perfect for cooling off after beach days. The location was quiet and peaceful but still close to everything — shops, restaurants, and, of course, the beach.The owner was incredibly helpful and kind, offering great suggestions for local places to eat and things to do. Their hospitality really made a difference and helped us feel right at home.We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. On Wings of Eagles is a perfect spot for families — especially those traveling with dogs — and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Best place to stay

There was pool toys for all ages. Beach things for in case you needed. The game room wasn’t really a game room but it’s ok we didn’t need any extra fun. We had plenty to do with the pool it is in ground and starts shallow and increases in depth. At the deepest I could still touch the bottom which was perfect for all my kiddos. I will even say how incredibly nice it was to have floats to accommodate my disabled child so not too big not too small. We had a life vest for the just in case but he decided early on he was not all about the pool life. There were plenty nightlights as well!

We felt right at home here. The owners were very responsive, the kitchen was well stocked, and my dog and I LOVED the pool. Home was exactly as stated in VRBO. Clean and generous sized rooms. Quiet neighborhood close to beach- 3 mins drive and walk to bay for lovely sunset views. Nice sized pool and clean pool area. Eagles Landing is the Best Nest

The house is beautiful and in a great quiet neighborhood a few minute walk from beautiful sunsets and a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive from great public access beach access. Great grocery stores are 3 minutes away. Feels like the quietest street but feels like the heart of OBX. The pool was great and so were the neighbors. Jim was a great host.

My family has been going to the outer banks for my entire life. There is no greater, more beautiful place on earth! Be sure to catch the great sunrises and sunsets over the water. The island is packed with history and there is lots to see and do.

With tons of upgrades over the fall and winter this house is a 1/4 mile off of the bypass and it is very quiet back on Fourth st near the sound. The stars are great at night out on the front porch in the adirondack chairs, and the breeze on the screened in side porch is unmatched. Extra fridge/freezer in laundry room. Don't miss this one for some great R&R.
