Another Great Year at Ocean Oasis

Lovely house

This is our second year staying at this property, and we will definitely be returning next year! The house is clean and offers everything you could need for a week at the beach. The owner is very responsive and helpful. Location is wonderful, just steps to the beach and the running trail. This place is a gem!

Arrived early and went to the beach. Went to the house and it is stunning! 4 tall boys and 3 moms. Each mom had a room and the boys shared the bunks! Beach daily and explored Wright Museum, shopping, eating, Roanoke, Manteo and the lighthouse. We had a blast and spent quality time together, having 19 yr olds,you miss that. Was a perfect trip and the house was very close to the beach. Highly recommend a stay!!!

Fantastic First Family Beach Trip

This was the perfect place for our first family beach trip with young children. The house was spotless and well-equipped, with a fun classic beach house decor. The neighborhood feels peaceful and quiet, but you are also only a short drive to all of the main destinations. The beach was beautiful and never crowded when we were there (early June). We found lots of shells and saw dolphins every morning. It does not have a lifeguard, but if you’d like a beach that has one, Coquina Beach was just a few minutes away. Lois was easy to get in touch with and explained everything we’d need to know ahead of time, which was reassuring since we did not know what to expect. We had a fantastic time and hope to return again soon!

Great House, Great Location, Great Host

We had a wonderful time staying at this house. It is in a great location. The house is close to the beach and we enjoyed being able to walk to the beach whenever we wanted. We also enjoyed riding bikes at the nearby biking path. We also appreciated that the house was close to activities that we wanted to do while we were visiting the Outer Banks, such as visit the Bodie Island Lighthouse. We enjoyed staying at this house and having Lois as our host.

Amazing Rental House tight next to the beach

We can't say enough good things about this rental house. It located just around the corner from the beach. So convenient to go over and fish from the beach, look for shells or even just relax in a beach chair. The house has great 2 story porch which you can hear the waves while sitting in Adirondack chairs. The house is the cleanest rental property we have ever stayed at. There are tv's in all the rooms but one. The beds are comfortable and so is the furniture. The house is decorated beautifully. This was our first time in the Outer Banks and we will definitely be back and would love to stay here again. This house is amazing.

Perfect relaxing getaway

Our family of 5 stayed for 5 nights. The beach was just steps away from the house. The house had all we needed for the stay and the host was wonderful to communicate with. We visited many cool sites in the area and also spent quality family time at the house playing games and watching movies. We would love to come back someday.

A beautiful week at the beach

This house was perfect for us. Great location- an easy walk to the beach. Close enough to hear the surf and feel the ocean breeze. She’d in back had everything you would want for a beach setup. We had everything we needed to cook if we wanted to and close enough to eat out at some great local restaurants. King size bed in master bedroom was very comfy. Great place to spend a week.

A true delight!

We have been vacationing in Nags Head for 37 years, but have always used a rental company. Decided to give this VRBO a try and we were NOT disappointed! The property was located in an area that we love, on a fairly quiet street with great access to the beach. The cottage was exactly as pictured in online photos and was exceptionally clean. We were grateful for the use of the bikes and appreciated having the laundry room located in the living space (rather than outdoors). We will eagerly return to this cottage again! Thanks to both Lois and Scott for sharing your vacation home with us!

My husband Scott and I have enjoyed vacationing on the Outer Banks with our 3 sons since they were young. In the spring of 2018 we bought the perfect home in south Nags Head that we plan to retire to one day. Lois is a portrait and landscape photographer, and enjoys walking on the beach and photographing the beauty of the Outer Banks. Scott enjoys playing golf and often invites friends and clients to play. He is looking forward to playing on the many fabulous courses in the area.

We chose this home because South Nags Head has so much to offer. The beaches are quiet and family friendly, yet close enough to many fabulous restaurants and shops. Our beach house is located on a quiet street with semi-private beach access available only to the guests of our neighborhood "Goose Wing". The bike path stretches the whole length of south Nags Head, offering a fun, family activity! There is nothing better than to wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee out on the deck and watch the sunrise over the ocean. Hearing the waves crash on the shore makes it that much more awesome!

Being right at the beach is spectacular! Just 350 feet and you are "in the
water". The semi-private beach access means the beach is less crowed and you can spread out and enjoy the beach with a game of volleyball, touch football or frisbee without having to worry about encroaching on other people. The views here are amazing with the sunrise over the ocean and watching the dolphins cruise up and down the shoreline every morning. Enjoy the sunset on the deck after a fun day at the beach, and at night there is nothing like going to sleep hearing only the waves crashing on the shore. It truly is relaxing.
