Steven, this is a shocking review as I checked in with you the day after you checked in and you told me the house was fantastic. Obviously, you discovered issues after, but it is hard for me to imagine how cat urine throughout was not obvious when you walked in. I do wish you had reached out to me. I work very hard to provide a nice stay and extended early check in etc. Your issues: yes I had bought new bath towels as I often do. But there were plenty of others to use. Believe it or not, some guests prefer to know that towels are new. The mattress cover was an oversight by the cleaning crew. There is a new one, but of course the bed also had linen, high quality sheets. I note that the house is home to cats and dogs in my posting and I expressly make my home available to pet owners because I know there are few and I appreciate that people like to travel with their pets. Before each stay, I wash all blankets and pet covers. Apologies that the cleaner did not rinse out the washer after. Feedback and reminder appreciated. As for cat urine throughout, I had my cleaner go throughout top to bottom after receiving your review. Yes, there was a cat stain on one of the bookshelves. Grave apologies they did not see it. I wish you would have mentioned it. I would have had cleaners go back. Sometimes with pets, things happen. I feel horrible about missing that. It was my fault about the coffee maker. I had stopped using it myself and remembered to set it out at the last minute. By the way, a new set of guests checked in three days later and love the place. Again, grave apologies. I wish I’d had the opportunity to address them during your stay. But I also understand that you wanted to spend the time with your family.
