Beautiful view and a nice space for a couple. Kitchen is reasonably equipped, spacious refrigerator for storing meals and ingredients. Hot tub was clean and much appreciated.

This was one of the best properties I've stayed at! The combination of the space, cleanliness, amenities, and location made this stay unforgettable. The view was breathtaking, the sound of the waves crashing at night put us right to sleep, and the hot tub soothed our aches after long days of sight-seeing.

Cute 2 story cottage perched on the cliff overlooking the ocean. Beautiful views.Many steep steps down to the beach. Inside was clean, & well stocked. Small spiral staircase to get to bedrooms below, or use outside stairs. Dogs must be walked in neighborhood to go potty. Great communication with owner.

This cottage was amazing!! The view was spectacular! Seeing sea lions and dolphins playing in the ocean was a highlight. Coffee on the deck in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening with that view made us want to stay longer! The hot tub was a wonderful during the cool evenings! Adi was very responsive and even called to make sure everything was good!! Highly recommend this cottage!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beachfront house! The location was perfect, with ocean views and easy access to the beach. The house was clean and comfortable had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The host was friendly, responsive, and made the entire experience seamless. We would definitely come back again. We loved staying at the beach cottage on Sunset Beach. Views from both decks were beautiful and the hot tub was an added bonus. The cottage was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. The hosts were very helpful and even checked in with us when we arrived. We met some of the neighbors when walking our pup and everyone was really friendly. Thank you for sharing your paradise with us. It made for a memorable family vacation for us and our Maltipoo.

10/10 stay! This cozy oceanfront cottage was the perfect getaway. The views were absolutely breathtaking, the beach access was incredibly convenient, and the entire area was peaceful and surreal. Everything super comfortable, and we especially loved relaxing while listening to the waves. The sunsets at sunset beach did not disappoint and the house gave us the most perfect views! The home felt comfortable, clean, and welcoming — a perfect spot to unwind. Would absolutely stay here again!

The patio furniture was all rusty and old one of the chairs broke when I sat in it One of the bedroom windows was so hard to open cobwebs in the windows how to use the hose to put water in the spa because the spa was low on water and the spa was dirty. Had to ring around it.

We were at the house right after your visit and did not notice any broken chairs. The beach facing location of our property does tend to wear out outdoor furniture rapidly which we replace annually. Unfortunately our purchase had been on back order during your stay.

Place was very clean and everything you needed was there. The spiral stair case was hard for the 70 year old me but no problem because we could enter our bedroom from outdoor entrance. The boys had no trouble using stairs to beach but again I struggled after having knee surgery awhile back. Overall great time!

Thanks for your kind compliments. I had knee surgery too and so we have been trying for the past year to get the stairs replaced by a Capsule elevator, but have run into roadblocks with getting a permit sanctioned by the County. Hope you understand :)

Ocean views but wouldn’t stay here again. Not worth the price to stay there. It’s an old cabin vibes. Beach access but 60yr old parents couldn’t make it to the beach with the steep steps. There’s really only one parking and if you have 2 cars, have to pay a neighbor down the street 10/night to use their parking. One of the beds is very high which my parents couldn’t use. Dog friendly but there’s no where to go potty even in the neighborhood. Also have to leash up and go outside to go up and downstairs since the spiral stairs inside are tiny and steep. Gets very hot inside during the day even though it’s not that hot outside. So much house rules. Check out list of things to do is extensive including starting laundry. Host seemed friendly and responded quickly to smoke/fire alarm beeping upon check in. Overall this place just wasn’t for us.

Thanks for this opportunity to reiterate some important facts about our beach cottage! Yes, there is only ONE parking spot for guests and it is clearly stated on our VRBO website as well as the contract handout. The 182 steps to the beach are not the only option to go to the beach - the Sunset Beach road leads to the State parking lot too, and guests are welcome to ride/walk there. We are very grateful to our neighbor who is willing to share his spare parking space with us when available. And this neighborhood just celebrated 100 years of existence this summer! So our home is truly unique based on what the original builder envisioned then, and not a cookie cutter structure that young vacationers of today are used to! Over our years of ownership, we have made upgrades constantly following the Santa Cruz County guidelines, and we are grateful for the many families to appreciate the changes and keep returning to our cozy cottage to continue building new memories.

4 women aged 66 to 76 had a wonderful 4 night stay here. The house is wonderfully quirky -- we spent time just marvelling how it had been built over its early decades. The sky from the hot tub! We took hours long walks on the beach and, yes, we climbed those stairs each day (but only once LOL). WE all agreed we'd book this place again.

Amazing views, really the star of the show. I loved sitting on the upper deck. We appreciated that the place was pet friendly, the hot tub was a bonus, and the bathrooms were all in great shape. There were plenty of beds for our family, and the kitchen was well stocked. The main living area is on the top floor so its hard not to wake up when the first people wake up. The stairs down to the beach were extremely steep but there is always a backup option of walking down the road to the state parks' paved walkway to the beach if needed. We hope to return for sure.
