The room had a great view and was clean. It was just as the listing said, no surprises. I only wished that the room had wifi. Other than that, It was perfect.

Stayed for two days

Didn't have the best Wi-Fi. The room was clean, outdated , wasn't in the room that I originally thought I was getting in the picture.

Misrepresentation of room

Room change by host prior to arrival, which room not accommodating for intended visit. Huge security issue with door didn't lock, security sliding gate broken and wouldn't even close. Toilet tank not providing enough water to flush toilet, had to allow time for repairman first night. No towels, no beach towels, no kitchen towels, no dish soap, no real kitchen items for using the mini kitchenette. First night from the storm flooded inside both front door and back which flowed under and around the bed ( no towel to dry it up ). Asked for compensation and to depart early. Followed instructions per Vrbo to communicate with the Host. Host took to long to find another room ( by 4th day ) but I said I needed to book another location if no new room. Host waited to late and Vrbo stated I would not be receiving a refund which is down right thievery.

Unfortunately, we had to give her a different room but she didn't like it the reason why she exaggerated every single detail on the second day we offered to move to another room and she said she would have a look at it that day and she didn't even saw the room she just left. and the personnel at the Condo describe her as a very rude person

Endroit exceptionnel

Deux fois dans cet établissement et la première fois chez notre hôte. Tout était parfait, la vue, l'endroit, la piscine. A proximité de tout, il y a même une supérette dans l'établissement et un OXO juste en face de l'hôtel. ce qui est très pratique. Merci à notre hôte. Gentil, rapide à nous répondre. Nous reviendrons c'est certain.

Enjoyed our stay but have a few suggestions

Our family of 3 enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend this property. Having said that, we do have some suggestions for the owner. Tell building management they need to improve strength of WIFI signal - barely adequate. Kitchen accoutrements are generally adequate but we SORELY missed not having a toaster or toaster oven - come on...this is considered a 'bare essential' and they are cheap to buy. Unit could definitely benefit from a fresh coat of paint, especially on doors. It would help if there were instructions for use of the touch-controlled cooktop. Thankfully we got it figured out eventually. Building's self-laundry and small convenience store was a nice amenity. FYI for future visitors...the laundry uses tokens that can be purchased at the convenience store along with laundry soap. Note to owner...we suggest a helpful brochure onsite that would help orient visitors. Also, while the TV channel selection was adequate, it seemed that 75% of the channels were in Spanish. Maybe you could add a few more in English.

nice and quiet condo with great view

overall the condo is nice and cozy. the only downside is the wifi. it does not have its own wifi and you have to go to the "wifi" patio area . and you have to spray yourself with mosquito repellents or you will get bit . that being said you have to put on lots of mosquito spray anywhere you go . the fridge is compact, there are very limited kitchen utensils but just enough to get by . we had to buy our own bowls for cereal . when we did have problems at the condo the owner / management were prompt to get it taken care of . there is a small store on the premises with limited supplies but the basics. if you rent a car there is plenty of parking and it is gated with 24 hour security. we are just a couple so it worked out great. they do have a small travel / activity office and we were able to get tickets to some of the attractions we wanted to see. this location is a distance from the main strip where all the bars, supermarkets etc and you have to take a car , bus or taxi . you cant walk there but if you have a car..no problem. there is a laundromat on the premises . we enjoyed our time there .

Older facility but ok

Sal was nice and his staff helpful. The room was as described. It is an older building, was one of the top sports 20 or 30 years ago. So if you are looking for luxury and Americana in Mexico, this is not your place. However I liked it a lot. The bedding was a bit hard for my taste, but the location was perfect. Great view of the ocean. The food was par for the region but I have had better Mexican food in other parts of the country. The bartender was great, very friendly and fun. This facility is on the south end of the peninsula in the zona El Rey, just north of Playa Del Carmen. I would go back again for certain! Right price and right spot for us! Very satisfied. Thank you again!

Dont stay here

We arrived to find that the property that we had booked was unavailable. We were put in anotherapartment that had no power - so no lights, no airconditioning and no towels. After much complaining and a phone call to the owner we were finally put in an apartment that was similar to the one we had booked . It did however have dirty and broken furniture . It was a very disappointing stay.

excellent experience

My wife and I were in Cancun at one of the higher end resorts for four days before we moved to this condo and while the amenities at the more expensive resort were nice the ambience, ease and laid back atmosphere here was awesome. The staff answered our every need quickly and with a smile. The staff at Casa del Mar were fantastic, the room was clean as was the entire facility. The only issue with we had was the fact that the beds in our room were so uncomfortable (as hard as the floor) sleep was nearly impossible. Thankfully the pool chairs are quite comfortable.

Needs some care

The unit was clean and the bathroom was very nice. The unit it self needs just a little tender loving care like new pillows. The ones we had were awful, how much would pillows cost? There were no glasses or utensils to speak of unless you can use a knife to eat off of. The view was beautiful but it was SOO windy the days we were there we could not use the terrace, pool or beach, no protection. Sorry wish I could write a better review

Great place, amazing location

The unit was clean and nicely decorated. Incredible view! Comfy beds, quiet neighbors (mostly, but if they did get loud they were done by 9pm). Quiet beach, pretty pool, friendly wait staff at the restaurant. We will definitely be back! Gave a 4 out of 5 star rating only because of a plumbing issue - unforeseen to the owner, and he was very quick to help us out. It would have been a 5 out of 5 if the toilet hadn't misbehaved :) Highly recommend this place for the price, location, service, and covering the basics.
