Our first visit to the Bryson City area and the cabin was one of the things that made our trip great. The amenities were as advertised, the cabin felt very private but actually was very close to town, and the host was prompt, communicative, and proactive. We highly recommend this location for your stay in this area.

The house was clean and perfect for our 5 person family! Check-in process was simple and easy, as was the check out process. The cabin had everything we needed and was at a great location to appreciate the beauty of Bryson City and surrounding areas. We will be back!

We had an amazing stay at Smoky Mountain Retreat! The host checked in and made sure we had everything that we needed. The upstairs bed was amazingly comfortable and we slept great! We enjoyed the hot tub and the house had everything that we needed. Loved being close to downtown and lots of hiking and fishing. We would definitely stay again!

Upon arrival, we found the property disappointing. The photos are NOT what you get. The carpet in the bedroom was filthy and stained. The lights when turned on showed a lot of dead bugs in the kitchen. The place needed painting inside and there were hand marks in many areas including the front door. The cover to the hot tub was not what was pictured. It was falling apart and did not fit the hot tub. The hot tube water was clean and the filter to the hot tub was clean. Believe me, we checked before getting in. The outside deck and house need a good power washing. There was green moss growing on the dirty outside chairs. The plastic chairs were very dirty and needed a good cleaning. The American Flag was a disgrace to our country. My advice to the owners is to take it down or replace it. I would not rent this property again.

Wonderful Stay

This place could not have been more perfect. The house is well maintained, furniture is extremely comfortable, and the host was very quick in responding to messages. While we didn’t need any assistance cause the house was in great shape, I have no doubt if we would have needed something we would have received it. We had a toddler with us and the accommodations at the property were perfect for us. The location of the house is right by Bryson City, but felt tucked away because it was on a hill, so it was still relaxing and quiet, which was perfect for us. Bryson City is an amazing place so the wonderful was of this house just made it better. You could not stay in a better place when visiting Bryson City.

Mountain trip

Place did not have a pitcher for lemonade, no hot pads for oven and no pizza cutter. Ugly mold stain on inside shower curtain in main bathroom. Those items very disappointed with.

Property needs a little TLC

It's a cute little house in a good location. The house needs a good cleaning inside and outside. Carpet in the bedrooms in disgusting. The shower curtain in the upstairs bathroom is full of black mold. Cobwebs on the Bannister. Dryer doesnt dry clothes. Outside , the spa was nasty and unusable for the first 4 faus of our trip until someone drained, cleaned and refilled tub. Leaves , cobwebs and dirty. Decking boards need repaired or replaced and stained. This property could be amazing , but it needs some tlc.

The house was great. Conveniently close to Bryson City. Everything was very clean, organized, and well stocked. Smooth and easy check in and check out. Super friendly communication from the owner. Would absolutely stay here again!
