This home is located in a quiet countryside setting in Norwich, surrounded by woods, fields, and natural beauty. Because of the rural location, you may occasionally see ants, spiders, or other small critters. We have regular pest control, but no country home is ever completely bug-free.
Fresh towels, linens, and basic amenities are provided, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and enjoying your stay.

Very clean and very nice house. Plenty of room for everyone. Big kitchen with seating for 8 and big living room with seating for 6 to 8. Very close to ferry, casinos, Mystic.

Great area with lots of space
We were list visiting family in the area but this house is a great central location to see the local sites or visit the casinos.
Check in was simple. The turn to the road is very easy to miss in either direction. The manager was usually back to me with any questions within an hour or two.
The house was equipped with everything that I could think of and the beds are comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Golf and Casino getaway
My three adult friends and I rented this home for a quick getaway, enjoying golf during the day and unwinding at the casino at night. The location was perfect, nestled between the golf course and the casino. The owners' renovations were fantastic, providing us with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was impeccably clean, well-maintained, and the hosts' communication was seamless. Quiet area, very convenient for Mohegan Sun
We had a long weekend stay at this house. The neighborhood was very quiet, the house had plenty of room- 4+ people could comfortably stay here. The main kitchen is bright and airy, plenty of space in the living room for board/card/dice games, the king size bed is very comfortable (presumably the other 5 beds in the house have equally comfy mattresses). From the front porch there is a view of the river, the backyard has space for outdoor picnicing near an apple and a peach tree. The pictures do appropriately represent the property, but the grill in the pic is not the grill currently at the house (September 2024). Communication with the owner was swift and helpful. Aside from some cobwebs in upper corners, the house was clean.

Great river view location with fast, easy access to casino
Quaint house is easy to locate, close to casino, host very responsive and accommodating. Rental was what we needed for two night stay.
Was bit too cold to enjoy the porch/waterfront but the house is spacious, if an odd layout. The individual heat/air units perfect for the disparate temp needs of guests.
We did have a few concerns:
13 of 17 windows were unlocked when we arrived (first thing I check in every rental).
The "master" bedroom in the in-law suite needs to have coverage of glass door. Located a sheet to throw over door which offered privacy but a more permanent solution needed.
As a more remote location, would recommend future welcome basket with water and few snacks. The lack of general basics such as aluminum foil, plastic wrap, ziplocs, plastic storage containers, paper towels, a couple laundry detergent pods, was also disappointing. However, we decided to just eat all meals out so did not utilize kitchen, except for drinks.

Be careful and be prepared for the cold
The property is close to 2 casinos, so it’s an ideal location from that perspective. The neighborhood is eclectic, some well maintained modest homes, some converted cabins, a few mobile homes. The street has no sidewalk & no street lights.When I arrived at 4:30 pm, the house was freezing cold . The temperature was 25F outside & 46F inside. There was no hot water either .I found a Honeywell thermostat set at 61F but cold air was coming out of the floor vents. We called the 3 management numbers with no response & it was only when we called VRBO Support to complain that there was a response from the manager who is based in New Jersey & has never been to the property. He sent a You Tube video on how to use the thermostat! It was several cold hours before the owner grudgingly contacted their local handyman. He couldn’t get the heat going and called a plumber. A white van blocked our driveway around 8pm. The heat started working at 8:30pm. We had take out food with us and the microwave worked. We ate at 9:30pm once the temperature was in the 50s. We were able to take our puffers off at 11pm. The hot water was coming on then too.There was no apology or any good will gesture from the owner or her team. In fact, they were unpleasant & condescending. Other issues- a curtain rod came out of the wall in one bedroom. The door access code stopped working & the new code sent by the owner didn’t work either. Aside from that, it was fine.
