We loved our stay at this property. It was absolutely beautiful and so well setup. While the photos are well represented, we were even more impressed in person. The property is in a great location with a quick walk to bars & restaurants. It’s also well equipped for eating in with Micheal supplying many of your basic cooking essentials, which was also very impressive. In addition Michael provided detailed information for our stay and was very quick & helpful to respond to the few inquiries we had. We highly recommend this property & hope we have a chance to stay again in the future.

Such a great little house; conveniently located so we could walk to cute cafes, grab Thai takeout, or walk downtown. The deck in the kitchen had great natural light made which made for a fabulous remote work set-up. Would stay again.

Perfect neighborhood and location

The Central Coast is home for us though we currently live in TX. Knowing SLO, we thought the location would be good, but it was better than expected. The house provides an easy walk to downtown eating, drinking, and shopping. And very nearby are some great restaurants and cafés to enjoy. The weather in SLO could not be better, balancing the coastal fog and the warmer temperatures in the North County. The house itself is historic but very clean and updated. The back patio provided a nice place to unwind with a fire and nice breeze.

The homeowner took special care when renovating this historic home. Beautifully done! We were all very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities offered to us from the homeowner. The location is perfect for a short stroll into town or just across the street to a few fantastic restaurants. We enjoyed every moment and plan on returning soon!

Clean, welcoming, and perfect. I was able to have a quiet space to work remotely while my daughter attended Cal Poly events. The home was a fantasic landing space for us and her friends. Comfy bed, lots of device charging options, great soaps/shampoos, top of the line appliances - so awesome.

Wonderful clean charming home near historic downtown

Loved the house from the beginning - it is as lovely as portrayed in the pictures and more. We were greeted with snacks and a bottle of wine. The decor is what you wish you had in your own home and there is all you need to stay comfortably. Felt like we were visiting our friends’ home. Loved that we could walk everywhere. Communication with Michael was easy and enjoyable - he is professional and prompt and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable, and even the bathroom lotion smells good! Cannot recommend this little gem enough!

Excellent property & perfect location

The photos don’t do justice to this adorable house. It was so clean and so nicely decorated. It is also located close to downtown and with ample parking. I especially liked the nice amenities like thick, absorbent towels, a nicely stocked kitchen and beautiful yard. Also, the host was amazing with great communication! The visit was simply wonderful!

Wonderful stay in SLO!

Husband and I had a great time staying at the railroad house in SLO. The home is beautiful, super clean, comfortable, and very well appointed. Pictures are definitely accurate. Michael was a great host, very responsive, and we appreciated all the little treats and extras. Neighborhood is walking distance (about 5-6 blocks) to the main downtown area so we didn’t have to deal with parking when we wanted to go for shopping or dinner. A few restaurants across the street too - tried the Thai one and it was very good. Area is across from Amtrack station but felt very safe to walk around. Was quiet at night (and yes, the bed was super comfy) but street outside the bedroom window does get a little noisier and busy in the morning with cars. I can highly recommend staying here, and am super happy to have a place to stay again when we are back in the area.

Wonderful stay at the Rail Road House

What a great stay we had in SLO. The Rail Road House location was perfect for us. We have family who lives close by. On top of that, the house was clean, spacious, comfortable and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Downtown restaurants and shops are within walking distance or a short drive away. There are corner grocery/deli's near by if you need anything during your stay. The property is located on a well traveled street and not too far from the train station, it was not a bother to us at all...we did not hear a train too early or too late. The host communication was great and very helpful with our stay. I would recommend the Rail Road House to friends and family and will definitely be back again! 5-Star all around!!

The home was beautifully appointed and comfortable. The owners added some special touches and embrace tech. It was an easy walk into the heart of San Luis where there are great restaurants and shopping. Definitely check out Thursday's Farmer's Market on Higuera. It was only two of us, but the house had a great children's room for a family. The front bedroom does get some street noise, but the bed is so wonderfully comfy you sleep well regardless. We hope to stay again in the future.

Over the top.

If the average vacation rental is an eight or a nine, this one has to be a 12 or 13. Impeccably maintained house. Every detail was thought through. From lit up light switches to easily see in the dark, and extremely well equipped kitchen, directions or instructions on anything in the house to be used, to very specific check-in instructions sent by email so you don’t have to use the app or can share with other people that are joining you. I travel a lot and almost always stay in vacation rentals but very rarely have I seen the attention to detail this host has put in. Staying in this house will make the Four Seasons look like a Motel 6

Perfect Stay

This historic house was well maintained and nicely updated. It was in a great location and close enough to walk downtown to the shops and restaurants. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening with a glass of wine. We will definitely stay there again!
