We had a great time at this property! We enjoyed the location - private, but still close to town amenities. It had everything we needed and was extremely clean. We were all very comfortable and had plenty of room to spread out and not be cramped. We enjoyed the kayaks and fire pit area through the week. Our teenagers really enjoyed the property as well and were happy to swim, kayak and fish right from the dock. Beautiful home on a beautiful lake!

A hidden Gem!

The lake cabin was lovely, it was quiet and really private. The property has a great fire pit patio that was fun at night. I highly recommend this property for either a fun week at the lake during the summer or a ski vacation at the winter!

Perfect vacation cabin on the lake

The cabin is equipped with everything you’ll need for a family vacation. The kids were excited to make s’mores with the provided supplies. We especially enjoyed the loons and views down the lake. We look forward to renting again!

Perfect place for a lake getaway!

Lovely lake-side week

This property has everything needed to take advantage of a lake with clear warm water, lovely views, and even loons. The home is comfortable, well air conditioned, superbly equipped, and we appreciated small details such as provided firewood and s’mores supplies. The elevated deck always had a cooling breeze despite ninety plus weather. Water access was simple with both a walk-in option and dock option. We had some construction noise next door, but Matt plans to share any construction scheduling that may affect the property.

Wonderful property & wonderful hosts

Matt & Linda were the perfect hosts; they thought of every detail and the house was unbelievable. They sent a detailed printout of things you would want to know before we even got there. Any questions were answered quickly. The view was wonderful - lots of days chilling and looking at the lake. I would give them 10 starts if allowed.

Best Vacation Ever!!!

Staying here was our best vacation yet. Matt and Linda were great to rent from and it was so hassle free! The house was immaculate when we arrived and everything was in excellent condition. It was fantastic to have all of the linens already there along with the luxury of having a very nice washer and dryer at your disposal. The kitchen was fantastic, it was so well stocked that you are prepared to cook anything at anytime! There was great fishing just off the dock and our boys had a blast fishing from sun up to sun down along with kayaking in between. We had plenty of smores and great family fun around the fire pit at night and the AC help keep us cool when the days got hot & humid. This was the best place we had ever stayed and we have been coming up to Winnisquam and renting for over 20 years! I could not think of a better place to stay than here at any-time of the year and we will definitely be back!!

Home away frome Home

Wow! Everything was very clean and well appointed. The views were stunning and lake access was wonderful, though there are about 30 steps to get down to the water, so keep that in mind if any in your party have trouble negotiating stairs. The house is spacious and very homey, with wonderful country touches like handmade quilts and small decorations. Communication with the owners was super easy and they are very responsive. Kitchen has all the utensils, new, modern appliances, large sink, and center island. Climate control is amazing as each room has its own mini-split with remote control, so no need to squabble over who "controls" the thermostat. Lots of blankets and comfy pillows, beds and couches. The big, solid dining room table was great for family meals and family game nights! Outside has the usual lake toys, but also pretty flower gardens and lots of hummingbirds. Only 15 minutes to many quality restaurants and shops in Meredith Center. Wifi in the house is solid and fast. I can't say enough about what a wonderful week we had. Will definitely return!

The listing title says it all!

Our stay was one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever had. The house is exactly the way it is shown in the photos. There are no concerns about an upsell online only to be disappointed when you get there. The house is very charming with everything you need stocked and ready for you. The appliances were all high quality and working perfectly. They have a brand new Weber grill that we enjoyed all week. The hummingbirds drink from the feeder just a foot in front of you on the deck. There are new stairs to the dock that made it feel very safe to walk on. There was plenty of wood for the fire pit. The beds were very comfortable. Matt was very responsive and friendly. I wish there was a bit less shade as you really needed to be on the dock to get any sun, but the view was spectacular and we really, really enjoyed our stay!

We had a fantastic vacation!

We loved spending the week at the Cabin, pictures don’t do the property justice. Set on a quiet private road with a lovely cared for front garden. We throughly enjoyed being here, our family spent a night as well and everyone had such positive things to say about the place. Everything was exceptionally clean; which is very important to us. The fire pit was fantastic, the supplied wood was dry and there was plenty of it. Dock was great, we tied off our rental all week and had a blast. The hosts were easy to communicate with and left s’more supplies for us! We would definitely stay again and again! Thanks for the great vacation! Jessica & Mike :)

The cabin is lovely and very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided.

The rental process was easy from start to finish. The house is in excellent condition, comfortable, and has a beautiful view of the lake from the porch and all patios. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, and relaxing with family.

Property was a great location on Lake Winnisquam. We had a wonderful time. The oven broke on the 2nd day. Owners tried to repair/replace but there wasn’t enough time. We were able to make do with grill and toaster oven. Overall great property and location!

Fun filled Lake stay

We had a great time staying at this property. The house was very clean and it was nice to offer bathroom towels, linens and paper goods. We spent most of our time outdoors. Grounds are sandy and rocky but most of the properties on the lake are. Pictures accurately portrayed the rental. The fire pit was a fun place to sit and relax and listen to the loons. Kids liked hearing their echoes across the lake! The lake is beautiful. We enjoyed the sand bar and water sports. Fishing was good too! A bit far from local stores and restaurants/food but that was ok with us. We appreciated being at the quieter end of the lake. Weather cooperated for the most part so that helped too. Would stay again!

Great stay!

We loved the house and had a wonderful time at the lake. The positives are many: • Great layout and clean as a whistle. • Four bedrooms are all very comfortable. • Great kitchen with everything possible needed. • Nice dining room that is perfect for group meals (and for working during the day if need be). • Excellent wifi and cell coverage. • Excellent heat and AC (we used both) • Wonderful location on the lake, close to the beautiful loon sanctuary. • Nice deck with easy access from the main living area of the house. • Nice dock for boat. • Awesome firepit area, including plenty of wood, which we used almost every night. (Nice touch leaving the makings for s’mores for us!) • Hosts are very hospitable and 100% responsive. There are a few things that can be improved. In full disclosure, because of the good communication with the host, I already mentioned these things and got a great response that there are plans to address them. • The final steps for access down to the lake and dock are not the easiest. Not a disaster, but you have to step over and around a big tree and root system in the way. I think all that's needs is a few wooden stairs. • The furniture in the family/living room is not comfortable. The couch and one of the chairs are OK, but the two chairs against the outside wall should be replaced. This would make that room much better for hanging out together there. • The master bed shower only trickles. Since the downstairs shower is really good, it's not a cabin-wide problem, so it should be readily fixable. Overall, we'd go back in a heartbeat. Super place.

Wonderful property, great location

My family and I stayed at this house for a week and it exceeded all of our expectations. The check-in/check-out process was the easiest I've ever dealt with, the owners were very kind and responsive, the house was beautiful, and the location on the lake was perfect for us. We will definitely be coming back!

Family Vacation

Extremely relaxing and beautiful spot along Lake Winnisquam. We loved our stay here. The house was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed and more. Matt was amazing to work with and even left a spread of chocolate, marshmallows, and sticks for s’mores! This was our first time to Lake Winnisquam and we would definitely return. Views were beautiful – right across from Loon Island. Fun exploring the lake in the kayaks/canoe. Water was clean and a perfect temperature for swimming. Highly recommend this as a vacation spot!!!!
