Unfortunately, our stay here was very unpleasant from the start. A lack of communication and empathy from the host compounded our challenges. We had a need for an extended stay for a few weeks while we were transitioning from the sale of our house. We had several issues while here - the house was not up to standards from a cleanliness perspective. None of the outlets surrounding the kitchen table worked, when we tried to run the dryer the lights throughout the house would dim, the lights would also flicker randomly. The kitchen sink wouldn’t drain and gross food and debris would back up into the sink when the washer was running. The dishwasher smelled so bad we refused to use it. Less than a week into our stay the keypad to the front door stopped working. When I called the host they said they could come out later that day or the next day- we had no key or way to enter the house except for this keypad. My daughter had to go through the back gate and crawl through the doggie door to then get in and unlock the front door. There was no sense of empathy or urgency from the host. There were other issues that were detailed to the host without resolution. Not only was this stay highly disappointing, Vrbo’s response to our situation was equally so. We spoke with multiple representatives and got different information and treatment each time. Our issues were dismissed as not important. I will never book through Vrbo again nor would I recommend them to others.
