Ocean Lodge ist eine prächtige Villa mit 11 Schlafzimmern, (22 Betten) 12 1/2 Bädern, ... Das Hotel liegt in einem geschlossenen Grundstück direkt am schönen und unberührten Strand der Bucht von Coson. Diese moderne, komfortable Villa verfügt über zahlreiche Einrichtungen wie einen großen Pool, einen beheizten Whirlpool, Liegestühle, Ess- und Sitzbereiche im Freien, WLAN und einen Wechselrichter .... Die Villa besteht aus zwei Putzfrauen (von 8 bis 17 Uhr) und wir haben einen eigenen Koch. Bitte bitten Sie uns, den Koch für Ihren Aufenthalt zu reservieren.
Die Ocean Lodge befindet sich am atemberaubenden Strand von Coson in der Nähe des Fischerdorfes Las Terrenas, einer bezaubernden kosmopolitischen Stadt mit vielen verschiedenen ausländischen Einwohnern: Franzosen, Italiener, Schweizer, Deutsche, Amerikaner, Belgier, ...
Las Terrenas ist bekannt für seine üppige Vegetation, schöne, einsame Strände, Wasserfälle sowie die freundlichen und gastfreundlichen Menschen.
Die Villa selbst hat ein riesiges, offenes Erdgeschoss, das zum Pool und zum Strand hin offen ist. Mit 5 Schlafzimmern im Erdgeschoss und 5 im Obergeschoss (von denen 3 Meerblick haben) und einem zusätzlichen Bungalow können hier Schlafzimmergruppen oder Familien mit bis zu 22 Personen gut untergebracht werden. Billardtisch, Tischtennis, Paddle-Boards tragen zum Spaß für Jung und Alt bei, den Sie hier finden können.

Overall, the house was amazing for our group and as described online and in the pictures. We felt very safe. The staff at the house for the week (including the INCREDIBLE CHEF DANNY!) truly make it a beyond incredible vacation with full service needs for your group. House and pool was cleaned every day. Had several great spaces to spread out if you wanted to play games, take a nap, read a book...good for groups that want to have options. The house really had everything we needed and if it didn't, the chef can grab it at the market. I would suggest mosquito spray near the beach. On the weekends we did see more folks walking up and down beach but never came near the house and we still felt it was a private experience. Absolutely wonderful, would go back in a heartbeat!

We spent a week at Ocean Lodge with a group of 20 people - 10 adults and 10 kids (ages 10-19). After the week, no one could think of anything bad to say. This place is incredible! The house is beautiful and spacious. We loved having large air-conditioned bedrooms. The living space is open to the outdoors giving unobstructed views of the pool and the beach. The beach is absolutely gorgeous! It is quiet and clean, and the water is perfect. The housekeepers kept the house clean, and replenished beach towels throughout the day. The chef, Danni, is the best! Every meal was delicious. He made anything we requested, but also had many ideas of his own. Also, he accommodated the needs of all eaters, including gluten-free and vegetarian options. We cannot wait to come back to Ocean Lodge at some point in the future! (One note - it does get buggy at night, so make sure to bring bug spray!)

Perfect location and house

We had a wonderful vacation at this property. The chef and house staff were delightful. The beach was perfect. Our only criticism was the lack of responsiveness and friendliness of the owner/property manager. The latter provided minimum attention to our needs. Luckily, Dani and Annie and staff made up for it.

Fabulous Trip

This is one amazing property with breathtaking views. We had plenty of room to spread out and had family style meals nightly. The food was great and our chef was amazing and very accommodating. Our rooms were cleaned daily and they even offered to wash our clothes! We had massages and yoga on site. There's horseback riding close by too. The pool was cleaned daily. The electricity was not close to what we expected. We did only use at night since the house is open all day. You will love this property.

Spectacular

We had a spectacular time while we were there. The pictures don't do justice to the place. The views are amazing and we didn't even bother to go out as everything was made available to us by the staff. I want to give special mention to our Chef, Dani, and his support staff. They took care of our dietary needs and went above and beyond. The food was better than any restaurant and the drinks(alcohol and virgin) were made out of fresh fruits. We worked out the daily grocery routine with Dani and we would refund him the cost. I think we have found our spot. Can't wait to go next year. Truly spectacular....

Beautiful property with an amazing view

Olivia was a delight to work with. Her staff was outstanding and we were pampered from our arrival to departure! Hiring the chef was the best decision we made as the meals were great and having everything stocked made our trip completely worry free. The beach was virtually private and saw very few people on the beach the entire week. Las Terrenas is not a tourist village and you will be very welcomed by the locals. We enjoyed learning about the cultures and seeing the relaxed lifestyle the people there enjoy. One consideration is the language barrier. Outside of a couple of the staff at the house, virtually everyone spoke only Spanish. We did not account for this, but managed quite well. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a beautiful relaxing vacation!

December 12-19 - 2024 Ocean Lodge

Took the whole family 18 of us. Ages 70 to 1 year old. 9 adults and 9 children. We had a great time. The beach property is spectacular. Water warm and waves were a lot of fun for the kids. The house itself was very comfortable for 18 people. The chef Danni and Amy catered to your every need. Shopped, prepared all three meals a day. So relaxing to have meals prepared.The pool unfortunately is not heated and was a bit chilly for the little ones. Hot tub also never really got hot. Disappointing as we enjoy hot tub time. Bring lots of bug repellant as we were covered in bug bites from the beach and at night. Which I understand is normal on the beach. All in all, highly recommend this property for a complete "R and R". We really did not leave the property much. No need to.Did two excursions, catamaran trip and a trip to the Limon falls (which I would not recommend as you go by horseback through some very streep and rocky trails).

Didn't get to go

Unfortunately, our party was stricken by the COVID virus the day before our trip, so we were unable to make the trip. The owner was unwilling to accommodate a schedule change, so we basically paid a lot of money for a house to sit empty for a week. We weren't asking for a refund, just a schedule change. Instead the owner suggested flying out because there was no "testing requirements" to fly in, with no regard for those in our party who were sick or those that could potentially catch it in our party or the surrounding area.

Hi Cary, as you know, you contacted us less than 24h before check in that you couldn't come due to a positive covid case in your party. As you made a reservation for 23 people , I suggested the other guests could continue as planned and you could join them later that week when you felt better. Understand it is impossible for us the find new renters on such short notice and that we have refused many potential renters for that same date as we are always fully bookes. Rescheduling or refunding you would implicate a real lost for us, twice. We always urge our guests to buy trip insurance so in cases like this, you could get your money back, and nobody gets affected, which you informed us you had, quote « Ok, I hope the trip cancelation insurance policy works ». As you can read from our previous renters comments, we only have 5 star reviews because we do treat our guest with all the respect and consideration they deserve and we would have definitely refunded you if we could have found new renters to replace your date. As you haven’t been in the house and we only have respected our cancellation policy, I really consider it unfair to put a 1 star review which damages our average rate for which we have work hard for to keep it up. Therefore, I kindly request you to retrieve this review as it doesn’t represents the reality. Thank you in advance.

Amazing family vacation spot!

What a great vacation! We chose this beautiful house as our vacation spot for this years family vacation. There was 19 of us including kids (age 8 and up). There was plenty of room for all of us and we spent most of our time out by the pool and beach. The pool was the spot! It was a great pool that was big enough for a number of us to hang outin. The beach was beautiful and clean and we did spend lots of time there as well. It was so nice to just be steps away from the house with easy access to drinks. Both Olivia and Audrey were so helpful and amazing. We did have an issue (out of anyone's control) and Olivia was more than accommodating even though she didn't need to be. Audrey was great in helping us plan our activities and just answer questions that we had about the area and things to do. We actually really enjoyed spending time with both of them. The chef was a must for us as we all just wanted to relax and not have to worry about shopping, cooking, and cleaning. Martin and Luis were great! We kept them busy with store runs and they were always happy and accommodating. The food was delicious. Luis makes a great paella and local Dominican stew (I forgot the name of it), this stew was my favorite! The cleaning ladies were great and kept the house nice and clean but were also never in the way. We did do the private charter boat and horseback to the waterfall and they both were fun. For the boat Audrey arranged to have an English speaking guide with us, Phillip. The boat took us to a secluded beach for the afternoon where Phillip took us on a walk down the beach. He was so knowledgeable on different plants and sea life. It was very interesting for us being from Hawaii and seeing some similar plant and sea life. We would definitely recommend Phillip he was great! The captain and crew on the boat were awesome as well and we would definitely recommend them. If your a large group like us I do recommend maybe brining some beach/pools towels as there was just barely enough for our group and at times we did share. Also to comment on the other reviews about the mosquitoes.... definitely bring bug spray. I think the biggest bug issues was actually on the beach around sunset. We did get some bites at the house and wished we had brought mosquito punks, we think that would have helped. We did have an amazing time and would definitely recommend this house. Mahalo to all the staff, Audrey, and Olivia for making this vacation one we will always remember!

Great family Covid escape

The house is Rey large and open. It sits on beautiful grounds with volleyball and ping pong in the front yard and a big pool with a bar, and the ocean in the back. There are several sitting areas for family meals, games and just conversation. The bedrooms are beautiful and large. But the high lite of this is the chef, Dani and his assistant Annie. They prepared 3 tasty and healthy meals everyday and accommodated the 2 little girls tastes as well as the adults. You will love the place, but be prepared for long drive from either airport. Mike

The most wonderful time

From start to finish, everything was perfect. Special Kudos to the staff, especially Chef Dany and his assistant Annie who spoiled us beyond belief. We cannot say enough about the staff dedication as it really made our stay most enjoyable. Of course the house is stunning and the location is to die for..better than the pictures, and if you have seen the pictures on this site, you know what I mean.. We had a small family celebration and it suited our needs perfectly. Well worth the price tag. Don't hesitate, gather some friends and take the plunge, it is well worth it...and hug the staff for us!

Amazing Vacation!

This property is way better than expected! The views are unreal. Very short walk to the private beach. The staff was way more hospitable than we were expecting. Danny and team took such good care of us and didn’t let us lift a finger for about anything. Already planning our next trip back here!

Wonderful stay.

The house is even more amazing in person. The chef and cleaning staff could not have been better. The house is huge with many covered outdoor areas. The house is a couple of steps to an almost secluded spectacular beach. Our only negative was the house right next door was having a new metal roof put on the there were saws and banging the whole 5 days we were there. Really put a damper on our stay during the day. Other than that we highly recommend this house for your next vacation. Yo will not be disappointed.

Beautiful Villa

This property was amazing and better than we expected. 20 of our family and friends stayed there for the week and we have zero complaints. We had a small wedding on the property and everything went perfect. We already want to plan our next stay. 5 stars.

Great house excellent chef & cleaning staff

Property is super nice and clean. All rooms have bathrooms which i loved. Cleaning staff was always on top of having all our needs met and house clean they are just EXCELLENT and chef Danny is just the best of the best. He makes you feel at home. Chef and cleaning staff are PHENOMINAL. Loved it!!
