Cute, clean house with historical charm. The hosts were helpful and easy to get in touch with. The area is great, between San Antonio and New Braunfels. The train noise at night did make it hard to sleep at night, however.

Pristine and a lovely little house. The owner was extremely communicative and helpful. Great tacos with homemade tortillas at the spot across the street owned by a nice family and fantastic coffee a few blocks down too.

The property is very retro 70's , which is charming. The location. Was great for our purpose. The house was clean and well stocked with amenities like dish washer ,washer and dryer fridge and gas range were great. We only had a l problem with the Train track and a crossing with in a couple hundred feet of the house. And the house next to it had lights on 24/7 that made it a little bit harder to sleep as well. To be fair, neither of these inconveniences were the verbo host fault.

The property was clean and easy to access. The host was very friendly, quit to respond when we reached out to him & very patient & helpful when we couldn't figure out how to operate the overhead lights & thermostat. The property has plenty of parking room behind a locked gate. We felt very secure & safe.Thank you very much for helping to make our stay in Texas a very pleasant one!

Great place*

This was a wonderful place to stay with things to do and room for a small family. *The only thing that was a nuisance, was the train horn going off at various parts of the night. Besides that, it was clean and had everything we needed to make meals and the house was very comfortable.

Amazing little house close to San Antonio

Loved staying at this cute little house. Plenty of room for our family of 4 adults. Close commute to San Antonio and the riverwalk, as well as Austin and the airport just under a couple hour drive. Everything was as listed, well stocked and Ron was easy to communicate with and had everything all set and ready for us when we got there. Would definitely recommend!!

Amazing Place

I left a previous review, but can't say enough about the property and the owner. He is very prompt in responding to messaging and is very proactive. The house is historical and full of charm. Very clean and it feels like home.

The Exchange was a lovely, nostalgic home environment for my out-of-state guests; perfect location, meeting our needs.My guests did have a few hiccups with the additional bedding options provided. However, the guests suggested some, hopefully, useful feedback which was very openly acknowledged through excellent communication with Ron Henry.All stated that they would definitely stay at The Exchange again in the future!

Great stay

Overall, one of the best places I’ve stayed in. The house was very clean and cozy. We loved the mix of modern features in a historic place. The only downside was the proximity to the train, which seems to run at all hours of the day and can be quite noisy. On another note, the neighbor has a floodlight which constantly shines in the bedroom windows all night long. Bring earplugs and an eye mask if you are a sensitive sleeper.

Thanksgiving Week

We booked this home to be close to our family that lives nearby for Thanksgiving. The home is lovely and we enjoyed the vintage appeal. Ron was quick to respond to all our inquires. Unfortunately, I felt like I bothered him too much. The smart thermostat definitely threw me off. The house was well equipped with all the necessities that we needed. We would stay here again.

Beautiful house!

Overall I loved the house - beautiful, lots of character, super clean. Couple things that others might want to be aware of - the second bedroom is listed as having a queen and a twin bed. The twin bed is not actually a separate bed, instead is just a trundle. This was not physically usable for our group. The house is located near the air force base and next to train tracks. The trains run all the time day and night and jets start flying at 8:00 in the morning M-F. The noise didn't bother our group, but if you're looking for something very quiet this might be an issue.Overall I would highly recommend!

Perfekt ausgestattet, katastrophale Lage am Bahnübergang

Leider befand sich das Haus in nur 150 Meter Entfernung von zwei Bahnübergängen.Die Industriezüge fahren ständig und machen bereits über einem Kilometer vor erreichen der Bahnübergänge sich durch das amerikanisch typische Warnsignal bemerkbar. Zudem kann ein Zug mehr als zwei Kilometer lang sein, die bis zu 12 Dieselloks machen zusätzlich Lärm.Da die Unterkunft sehr schlecht akustisch gedämmt war, hätten wir genauso gut auf dem Bahnsteig schlafen können.Leider wurden wir fast jede Nacht um den Schlaf gebracht. Wir fragten vor dem Buchung ob es eine ruhige Wohngegend sei. Der Besitzer bejahte das.

The house itself was beautiful, clean, and looked just like the photos. Unfortunately, there were several issues that made our stay less enjoyable.When we first arrived, we had trouble getting in because some of the buttons on the front door keypad didn’t seem to work properly. The house is also very close to train tracks, and trains came through frequently, blowing their horns throughout the day and night, which made it difficult to relax and get a good night’s sleep. To make matters worse, the neighbors had very bright outdoor lights that shined directly through the windows at night.The biggest concern was our interaction with the host. He came to the house while we were eating dinner and repeatedly knocked on the door until someone answered. He questioned us about having a dog, and after being told it was a service dog, he demanded to see paperwork, which made us feel very uncomfortable.As we were leaving, we also noticed a few live roaches inside the house.The home itself is beautiful, but between the keypad issues, constant train noise, bright lights from the neighboring property, the uncomfortable interaction with the host, and the roaches, we would not choose to stay here again.
