Cozy Lakeside Duplex Cabin on Moosehead, 10-min walk to Downtown Greenville

This cabin is nestled on a multi-acre private property, with unique features including a pebble beach for swimming and large deck to relax and listen to the loons call. You'll feel away from it all, while steps away from downtown shops and restaurants.

The duplex has an identical Red and Green side, each featuring two bedrooms, kitchen, full bath with shower, and living room with futon. The two units are connected via a door on the covered porch with outside access to each unit from either side of the deck.

This rental is great for families or friend groups vacationing together. The rental is pet-friendly by request. You are welcome to bring a canoe, kayak, and/or paddle board(s) to put in at the beach and enjoy exploring the south shores of Moosehead Lake.

Being a waterfront property, there is additional risk of personal injury or property damage that renters must acknowledge. This risk is heightened as it relates to children. Renters must agree to accept that risk and take all reasonable and proper measures to ensure the safety of their party from injury or loss. The property owner and managing agents are not responsible for any personal injury or loss related to waterfront access. Swimming is permitted from the beach at your own risk. Renters may not use the docks in the marina adjacent to the renal property without permission.

Super cute and exactly what we needed for traveling with kids and my parents. Reminded me of the camps we stayed as a kid. Very convenient location to town and you can walk right up to the water. Our hosts were quick to answer any questions and very helpful. We loved it!

Such a beautiful home and location. The home is super close to food/shopping but feels secluded. My family of 5 loved it. The kids loved being able to just walk right into Moosehead Lake and swim. We loved sitting outside on the porch at night looking at the stars and listening to the sounds of nature. Plenty of space in the home and they had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and helpful. We had a great time!! Thank you!

Great place for a family of 5 and two pups to stay at! Close to downtown but feels very private. Private rocky beach was perfect for kayaking, swimming and fishing.

Awesome stay & location

This place was everything I was looking for. Had the charm of an old camp yet had all the amenities of a modern camp. The location was breathtaking and the hostess was ver accompaning. Highly recommended!Stayed for a girl's weekend and we are already planning on staying there again next year.

This property was a perfect Lakeside retreat and located within walking distance of downtown Greenville and numerous dining choices. Moose head lake was just 100 feet from the front porch and a great way to wake up and enjoy my coffee each morning. The wildlife was everywhere. This was a short work related stay, so next time I will plan a bit more downtime.

We had an awesome vacation week in Maine. The property owners were very responsive and quick to answer any of our questions. The house was well equipped and in an excellent location on Moosehead Lake. We had a chance to explore all kinds of Maine areas - Baxter state park, Mount Kineo, Mount Katahdin and numerous remote lakes and ponds. We did a great deal of exploring and saw a total of 15 moose this week, including 1 bull moose! It was a week to remember!We braved the cooler weather and took a quick kayak trip on the lake. Our youngest son picked our vacation spot this year and had a wonderful time seeing and learning about Maine. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Jeremy, Courtney and Baylon

Peaceful cabin, walk to Greenville

This is a great choice for a family or close friends. There are two units that are small and identical, with two bedrooms and a futon each. It’s maybe a bit silly to have two kitchens, but it actually worked great to have a side that gets up early and a side that stays up late, and to have a prep/snack kitchen and a meal cooking kitchen. The views of the lake are great and the location is excellent-very quiet and private but ten min walk to downtown Greenville, 30 minute ride to rent a pontoon at Birches and explore the northern lake. The marina is shared with the homeowner but generally very private. Very clean and great communication from the hosts who were friendly and checked in about towels etc. definitely recommend!

Cozy Cabin was great!

This duplex cabin was a great home base for our weekend ride- even though there was an event happening in our yard the host made it work. We were gone all day riding and they were packed up by the time we got back. Kitchens are stocked- if it wasn’t in one, you’d find it in the other! Towels- both bath and beach- were plentiful! Shampoo conditioner and body soap on site. It’s small but the waterfront deck gives plenty of room. Would be good for multiple couples or a smaller amount of singles. We originally had 10 coming but 3 backed out- I couldn’t imagine 10 in the spaces . 7 adults - (5 singles and 1 couple) was a good amount- Lots of blankets and pillows- Bring water shoes if you plan on going in the lake- it’s shallow and a bit rocky but was perfect temp. We’ll be back for sure!

We typically stay in cabins more remote, but we opted for this camp-style duplex which was walking distance to the Greenville shops/dining. The property itself is very spacious, well maintained, and secluded for the location. There’s a nice pebbly boat launch area where we explored, enjoyed coffee & sunrises, swam and kayaked. There’s also a quiet little marina with a few slips. The platform with the grill and fireplace was perfect for sunsets & stargazing. The property is large and nicely lit for nighttime ambiance.The camp has plenty of charm and was perfect for our scenario. The two units are connected by a door on the 3season porch. There’s a solid deck that overlooks the grounds and lake. It was helpful to have the two kitchens, which were well equipped. Wifi and tv were functional. The bedrooms and bathrooms were adequate. While I would recommend upgrading the beds, everything was clean and tidy and we all slept perfectly fine.Our days were spent at Lily Bay State park, hiking Kineo, sightseeing, exploring trails, and shopping/dining in the area. We enjoyed our quiet mornings and evenings at the property. This is an ideal spot for a group or family with teens where the parents stay in one and the kids have the other. A dog would love it here!Finally, the communication with the host was on point. They were very friendly and all of my questions were answered in a timely fashion.Overall, I would give this location an 8.7 and we would certainly stay here again.
