We really loved this loft! Cozy rustic/industrial feels that really fit the Gastown vibes-open concept, full kitchen with necessities, comfy bed & huge soaking tub. It's in a great location, esp for a first time Vancouver stay! Located in the Gastown area with only a quick walk to the downtown area; close to the water, lots to do & see! Gastown had an intimate historic/antique feel, perfect for us as we appreciate the quieter, low key setting. Food & drink: (#1) Di Beppe Caffe – morning latte & pastry that felt like being back in Rome (less than a block from the loft); LOCAL Public Eatery, L'Abattoir, Steamworks Brewery, Blarney Stone, & Gastronomy (all in Gasworks area) for great food & drinks! Places to visit - Downtown, Stanley Park & the Capilano Suspension Bridge (unique outdoorsy experience, esp during Canyon Lights). Notes -1) bath tub took a long time to fill, but worth the wait, 2) parking on arrival–instructions don't include that you need to access the loft first, get the key fob & then use the fob to enter the garage (#1 on fob); use back alley off Columbia; black rollup door on left (even when door us closed you can see that it goes underground); unload car 1st then back into the spot (suggested if you drive anything larger than a Mini Cooper; we drive a Subaru Wagon for ref.). There are homeless in the area but they didn’t bother us at all. If you are familiar with big cities, it's definitely no worse if not less noticeable than other big cities.
