The home is ~1 mile from the C&O canal towpath, great for exploring cyclist in need of an overnight rest. Hikers too, we are about ½ mile from the Appalachian Trail. The shops and dining of downtown are within easy walking distance.
Built in the 1820's by the US Government, this home is the 2nd oldest privately owned home in Harpers Ferry. The US Government built the home as living quarters for Armorer's working at the US Armory at Harpers Ferry. The spaces are wonderfully appointed including many historic photos and prints of the local area. Additionally, there are several artifacts and displays from the local region, which will enrich the historic feeling of your stay with us.

The front porch overlooks Washington St. (Main St.) and is directly across from the City Park. The park features the Harpers Ferry Town Bandstand, which hosts current events including the Easter Egg Hunt (run by the Harpers Ferry Parks and Recreation Association), the Herb Fair (run by the Harpers Ferry Woman's Club), the Fourth of July Band Concert and Picnic, and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
