Welcome to Black Bear Sauna and Plunge!

Nestled on a quiet street in Beech Mountain, you'll find this updated A-frame ready for a relaxing break. The living room features modern, clean lines with leather seating, bright windows, large screen TV ready for ESPN and sports viewing, and gas log firepit. A desk off the living room provides a great space for work or school if you need to bring some along. The kitchen is bright and airy, with stainless appliances, a Keurig and standard coffee pot, and a table for four. The deck can be accessed from the kitchen. For sleeping, the main level has a queen bedroom with TV, deck access, and a window AC unit. Nearby is a small bedroom with a TeePee twin bed and a twin trundle with the washer and dryer. The home has 2 full bathrooms. One upstairs with a shower and one on the main level with a tub/shower.

Off the back deck is a flat yard with a fenced in dog-run for smaller dogs, a barrel sauna, and a new hot tub for guest to enjoy. Soak off your aches from an adventure of hiking or skiing!

**Please note the previous hot tub/cold plunge was destroyed by Hurricane Helene. A new, traditional hot tub is now installed and available for guest use. The sauna survived the storm, and a new cold plunge tank is being added in May 2025!**

Also located just a short distance from the home is the Beech Mountain Club where guests can enjoy access to private restaurants & events, professional tennis, a fitness center, pickleball courts, and a heated pool to name just a few amenities. Guest passes must be requested (Sports-level membership is available) and the transfer fee must be paid for in advance to the Club. Additionally, the Buckeye Recreation Center and numerous trout fishing streams are located close by and we can even connect you with the best local fly fishing guides.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- The living room has a newly installed minisplit, and additional window units are provided for the bedrooms during June, July, & August.
- This home allows up to 2 dogs for an additional rent of $25 per night per dog plus taxes.
- Due to the elevation, Beech Mountain requires all guests during the winter months (Nov-April) come equipped with good tires, 4WD or AWD vehicles, and possibly snow chains.
- Please note that the owners of this home use security cameras to monitor the exterior of their home to ensure it remains safe when unoccupied. No cameras are aimed at the bedrooms, doors, or windows.
​​​​​​​- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
