My place is a 10-minute walk from the Takoma Metro Station and a 5-minute walk to the Takoma Recreation Center, and a Safeway (Grocery store). You’ll love my place because of the well-lit living area, the comfy bed, and the coziness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and small families.



The Space:

Washington D.C.’s Takoma neighborhood is a diverse, middle-class neighborhood that is an ideal location for those visiting the city for business or pleasure. A downtown renovation project has brought in new businesses, making this area one of D.C.’s up-and-coming neighborhoods. Visitors can enjoy viewing the beautiful historic homes, visiting the Takoma Recreation Center which features a pool, skate park, playgrounds, and special events, or taking a 10-minute walk to the Takoma Metro station to explore the history and excitement of the nation’s capital.



When not taking in the sites that the city has to offer, you can rest easy in this 1-bedroom fully-furnished basement apartment. You will be able to enjoy privacy and comfort while relaxing after sightseeing or taking a break from business. This apartment is stylishly appointed with the modern amenities you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Kick back and enjoy watching your favorite TV shows or movies on the wall-mounted LCD television with cable in the living room, or simply share a story from the spacious and comfortable sectional sofa. Keep your favorite snacks on hand in the cozy kitchen area. Though it's not a full kitchen it is equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The house is also furnished with a front-load washer and dryer.



This apartment features a private bedroom with a comfortable Queen bed for an exceptional night of rest of the sleeper. The bedroom is also equipped with a desk to provide workspace for those traveling to the city for business. You also have your own private bathroom that is stocked with essentials, including bath towels, shampoo, and other toiletries for a refreshing shower. You’ll be able to stay connected with our high speed Wi-Fi service, so you can keep in contact with family, post photos of your travel, or finish up your work outside of the office.



Check-ins are available 24-hours a day, so late arrivals are no problem. It might not be a condo, but this apartment is kid-friendly, so guests with small families are welcome. This space comfortably sleeps three people and is located in a safe and friendly neighborhood and is equipped with a carbon monoxide detector, smoke detector, and first-aid kit for your safety.



Guest Access:

Guests have a private entry access to the house and have the entire basement (not an upstairs condo) to themselves. There is available space in the backyard / courtyard for guests to enjoy a relaxing moment. There is also street parking for small group of guests with a car. This historic area boasts beautiful homes in a quiet area, yet is just a 5-minute walk from the Takoma Recreation Center, a 10-minute walk to the Takoma metro station, and is conveniently located to a Safeway grocery store for stocking up on snacks and supplies.



Getting Around:

The best way to take advantage of everything that Washington D.C. has to offer is via the Takoma Metro station, which is just a 10-minute walk from your apartment. Bike share service is available at the station for those who want to tour the Manor Park area by bike, and car sharing and bus service are also available transportation options available at the Takoma station.



Other Things to Note:

While small families or multiple guests are allowed to stay at the property, we do not permit parties or events. Parties and events thrown at this location are subject to additional charges.



Paper products such as paper towels and toilet paper will be refreshed and provided to you prior to your arrival, but you will be responsible for replenishing should you run out during your stay and need more.



Interaction with Guests:

I travel for business and do not live in the home, so my access to phone calls may be limited during your stay. However, I will do my best to provide you with timely and prompt responses via the app when needed, while also giving you space and privacy during your stay.
