Everything went as expected, property was clean Had a tiny issue with the hot water heater. The host was on it promptly sent somebody out ASAP to get it fixed.Zero complaints would stay here again

Great place

This is a great place for a big group. We had 2 couples and 4 individuals. Plenty of space from everyone. This is the 4th time we have stayed here and the proximity to windrock park and all the normal amenities is great.

Great location

A 10 minute buggy ride to Windrock so the location is great. Unfortunetly we came to town during a major heat wave and the AC had a hard time cooling down the house. Atleast there were plenty of fans onsite.

Wasn’t the cleanest. Food and drinks left in fridge. Cigarette ashes on the table outside. Master bath only had one towel, had to steal some from other rooms. Random lawn furniture laying around the yard. In a residential neighborhood with houses close. Felt like we were watched. Wasn’t what we were expecting but it was a hot shower and a bed after long days at Windrock.

Hi Joy, it’s too bad you didn’t let us know you only had one towel, and that ashes were left outside. We have lots of lawn furniture in the private fenced in back yard. We allow guests to put furniture where you want it as a family. Thank you for staying with us. Safe travels home.

A place to relax after riding

We stayed for 3 days while we visited Winrock. It was nice to be able to ride our sxs to the park. The home has everything we needed. Thank you for sharing your home.

Spacious and comfortable

This is a great property in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are comfortable, there are many sleeping spots, and I appreciated the 2 en-suite bathrooms. The house was stocked with some basic necessities. It’s nicely decorated and is a great home base while in Knoxville or the surrounding area.

Great Location

Location was very close to Windrock and there was plenty of room for our trail rigs and trailers. Neighborhood was very quiet and we all rested comfortably. The fenced in backyard was great for the dogs. There was a nice patio set outside and a firepit with plenty of seating. We have found our place to stay when we come back to Windrock.

Good deal

Great stay no issues other than the property having a few bee and wasp nests. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms are a bit small and had trouble cooling the rooms but overall a good stay.

Got Away

Very good place to stay. Everyone was happy with the individual bedrooms and baths. Plenty of floorspace and seating. Very clean and comfortable. Located in a quite neighborhood with good parking for trucks with trailers. Kitchen was well equipped with up to date stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Washer and dryer looked new. Overall a very nice comfortable laidback place to stay.

Softball Tournament

We stayed at this property for my daughter‘a softball tournament in Oak Ridge. Close to the fields and Knoxville was just a short distance. Had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Annual family trip

This rental was perfect for our family. Plenty of room to accommodate all of us. We usually stay in hotels but this kept us closer together and closer to Windrock park. We all enjoyed the great outdoor space to relax and talk about our day’s adventure. Only complaint was bathrooms and kitchen weren’t really clean. But there was product available to clean up before we settled in. Would recommend and will probably use again!

Quiet place

The owners are amazing! Super reliable. House was very spacious room for my family and friends. Safe for pets! Drive way was our only issues lol nice parking for vehicles don’t get me wrong. Just not enough space for 2 40 foot trailers 2 trucks a van and 2 cars where we traveled down different days with 5 sxs. But would stay again! Owners helped us find another area to park a trailer and truck.

This property was not clean or well-maintained. The floors were extremely dirty-after walking barefoot for just a few minutes, our feet were black. All of the rugs were visibly dirty, with dried food and stains, and the rug in the bunk bed room had a strong urine smell. There were also maintenance issues throughout the home. The countertop in the half bath was not attached to the cabinet at all. The sink in the half bathroom is missing a nut and leaks into the cabinet underneath. The showers had very little water pressure, making showering very unpleasant. The beds were also an issue. One in particular squeaked & creaked with any movement, and at least one of the comforters had visible stains. The kitchen was especially disappointing. The oven looked like the inside had never been cleaned. Every utensil we used had to be washed before use. The pots and pans had old dried on food, appeared poorly cleaned, and one of the pots still had oil inside it. The measuring cup was dirty and there gnats inside a container of canola oil. The mat in front of the kitchen sink was so dirty that shoes stuck to it when stepping on it. When we moved the mat, there was brown food stuck to the floor underneath, indicating the area had not been properly cleaned and that the mat is not moved during cleaning. There were ants in the home, they knew this because there were a couple of ant traps throughout. It did no good, one of our people found an ant crawling on him when we were on our way out.

This review is comical. We heard nothing from their entire stay until we send photos of damage they did while at the house. Even have video footage of one of them trying to sweep it up on the back deck. VRBO, please remove this review none of this is true.

Didn't like location

If you are sxs riders....not the location. The neighbors will not like you. Cops called twice. We are quiet ppl too. No hot riding either. Cop told us in was the neighborhood. We had 2 trucks with trailers and no room to park. We had to pack a truck in front lawn. Takes 20 minutes back roads to get to Windrock. House was clean and equipped with what we needed.

Hi Regina, well this is a first. We have had people staying at The Getaway nearly every weekend for almost a year now and have never had the cops called. Also our home just down the street has had no issues with the cops being called. You are correct in that the house is in a neighborhood. You are also correct in saying there’s no HotRodding down the streets. That’s completely unacceptable. We’re glad the house was clean and had everything you all needed. There’s room for 3 trucks and trailers at the house and yes parking in the front yard is perfectly fine. Safe travels home.
