Solana Beach beauty!

Beautiful suite in Solana Beach! Incredibly comfortable and clean. Close to lovely beaches and great restaurants. If so inclined, right across from Del Mar racetrack with free shuttle service back and forth. A wonderful stay all around!

good clean unit. walking distance to the beach and shopping. very close to many restaurants and bars. pool and jacuzzi were very well taken car of.

This was a nice older timeshare. My studio unit was comfortable and had a quiet little enclosed patio. This unit was a first floor corner beautiful waterfall next to it provided soothing noise.There is no A/C ( fans only).The patio furniture is plastic and could use updatingThe bed was very comfortable / linens standard hotel grade.Couch was newer and blue. Very comfortable, but that was about the only thing I would say was "upgraded".Blankets were a bit old and should be replaced.Pools Area very clean nice hot-tub. Most of my stay, young children were in and out of hot-tub, so that is a negative for me.Front door staff, one (female) who was outstanding the day time Male ( not so friendly).TV was difficult to operate : was not set up correctly and controller was broken. Called desk and they did respond right away to fix it. Basic TV channels, so bring your own paid channels if you want more that basic cable channels.The beach is a block away (access from resort). There is a steep decline to the beach via stairs. Not wheel, wagon or handicapped friendly.The beach about a quarter mile south was better for older, handicapped or families with children. Parking is free.I did check with others staying the time I was there, and cost of what I paid and got was above normal for this time of year. I would only stay in this place in a studio again if the price was more in line with what others were paying and some of the outdated items were upgraded.

Great Location

We had a great stay. The unit is close to everything we needed. The people staying in the unit above us had heavy feet. The noise would stop at night and start again around 0630. It did not bother me as I am an early bird.

Room Odor

The room that we stayed in had a musty odor or an odor coming from the AC system. I gave both of us a severe headache and we elected to depart on Saturday afternoon instead of staying another night per our reservation. In addition, the desk clerk had a very difficult time understanding that we wanted to check out early. She wanted to know if we prepared the room for the next guest by changing the bed linens and cleaning the room. We explained that we were guests ourselves and that we had no responsibility to change the sheets or vacuum the room. The owner would need to arrange for housekeeping before the next guest. Quite interesting that she was not aware of the situation regarding the upkeep & maintenance.
