Country Escape Next DOOR Rental - Sleeps 6 - Stay upstairs in the trees

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway in the country! This 1100sf rental is above a four car garage in the backyard of the “Country Escape” short term rental. The deck overlooks the serene “park like” backyard in the woods surrounded by trees so you feel like you are in a treehouse. It has a playground in the backyard for the kids to enjoy.

The décor is very comfortable and welcoming. We named it "Next DOOR" due to the repurposing of many old doors.

It is the perfect location for you to hide away and relax while you are in the area.
The floor plan of this rental is open concept with two spacious rooms and a private bathroom.

- Room one is the main living area with a couch, large screen smart tv, desk, dining room table with 6 chairs, coffee bar, fridge/freezer, stocked kitchen cabinets with a farmhouse sink, microwave, convection oven and two burner electric burner for cooking. It also has a washer and dryer.

- Room two is the lodging room with 4 beds (1-Queen, 1-Full, 2 -Twin), dressers and a smart TV.

There is a large deck outside with some sitting furniture and a grill. There is also a sitting area under the top deck with ambiance lighting.

Guest access
You will have a private driveway and parking spot next to the stairs on the detached garage in the backyard. In the very back yard there is a large covered picnic area with 5 picnic tables, playground, sandbox, wood firepit and rustic outhouse. This is a common area used by this rental and the "Country Escape" rental.

Other things to note:
- This unique rental is in the country in the middle of farmland and woods so if you don’t like bugs, critters etc this isn’t the rental for you. Depending on the weather and time of year, you may see some deer, wild turkey, lady bugs, mosquitoes, carpenter bees, lizards, water bugs, field mice etc. While we pay for routine and proactive pest control every blue moon there may be a sighting.

Cute and functional. We were only two people but I think 6 could have stayed the night. It was cold during our stay but the numerous mini splits and electric fireplaces kept the rooms comfortable. There was a warning about sulfur smell from the well water but no issues with it and it was totally usable for drinking etc. Liked the two big TV's. Beds were deep memory foam which we were not used to but were fine unless you toss/turn a lot.

A Cozy Home Away from Home

We were so in love with our rental! It was clean, cozy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We met the host outside and she was lovely! Great communication and a great playground outside for the kids. We can’t wait to come back!

Our perfect retreat

We were in town for a long and hectic graduation weekend, and this property was absolutely perfect for us to retreat to at the end of the day. It’s so clean, quiet, beautifully decorated, and both the host and cleaning lady are very friendly! It was equipped with all the necessities and has stores close by to get anything else that we needed. We have no complaints. Some of our favorite moments on the trip were spent relaxing here. Will definitely be back.

Welcoming and communicative host! Tracy was wonderful, friendly, and flexible. Slight issue during our stay was responded to quickly and a credit was offered for the minor inconvenience. The property was lovely, quiet, and very clean and welcoming. Walking in felt like coming home! Check in directions were clear and directions/access to property was easy. One thing I really appreciated were all the soft extra blankets placed around the living area and bedroom. A lot of places we've stayed don't provide extra blankets and I tend to run cold. I was extra cozy on this trip! 10/10 stay. Would recommend to friends and will choose to stay again in the future.

WE LOVED THIS PLACE!

The home and yard are so pretty and it’s extremely peaceful. The home was very clean and decorated nicely. We felt right at home from the minute we arrived. We also enjoyed the outdoor area which is beautiful and large, which worked great with our little Maltese, Abbey. The host is extremely kind and communication with her was easy and she responded quickly. I highly recommend staying here, you will not be disappointed. We loved this place is much. I cannot express enough how wonderful our stay here was.

Great home away from home

My son, his family and i came down for the 4th of July weekend. This home was very nice inside. There were 5 of us and we were all very comfortable. The house was stocked with everything you need. The kids loved the play area out back. I loved reading the property story. You can tell the home is loved. It was about 40 min. from VA Beach. The next day we drove about an hour went to Kitty Hawk, NC, Nags Head. There are a lot of things to do within an hours drive. If you just want to do nothing and relax you can do that here. We would definitely rent again. :)

Super endroit où rester pour se promener dans les environs et profiter de Virginia Beach. On s'y sent comme à la maison et Tracy est une super hôte! Je recommande sans hésiter 😀
