We arrived in San Diego in the later evening, and took a taxi to the condo on Cortez Hill.
After some difficulty getting into the condo, we spent a very enjoyable couple of weeks in it, in the sunshine and mild temperatures.
The Condo is spacious, and quite well provisioned with the usual features.
Since we were without a car, we spent some time each day climbing Cortez Hill, usually from near the harbor. The Hill is 150 feet high, the highest point in downtown San Diego, and we got some good exercise. I was quite a lot more aerobically fit when we left!
The excellent San Diego public transit system (the MTS) got us around the downtown, and far afield for special excursions, making the use of a car unnecessary.
If you rent this condo, be sure to have the VRBO app on your smart phone, since the rental agent relies on his guests having it. This makes it easy for him to respond as quickly as possible to your queries.
