Adk Star Ridge Cottage ist einfach ein "Frieden" des Himmels. Das Hotel liegt auf 30 privaten und ruhigen Morgen und grenzt an tausende Morgen unberührtes Waldland. Nachbarn sind rar gesät. Sie können Ruhe mit den Geräuschen und Gerüchen der Natur erwarten, die Ihre Sinne füllen.

Sie können sich auch einfach auf den 700 Quadratmetern entspannen. ' Deck mit einem Drink zur Hand und dem Grill entfernt oder wandern Sie einen Weg direkt von der Seitentür, um die Wälder dahinter zu erkunden. Das Haus verfügt über Spiele, Rätsel, WLAN und Satellitenfernsehen für diejenigen, die es vorziehen, im Haus zu bleiben, aber dennoch die Aussicht durch viele Fenster und Türen genießen möchten.

Steigen Sie ins Auto oder auf Ihr Fahrrad und fahren Sie ein paar Meilen zu den Jay-Stromschnellen, wo Sie im AuSable River einweichen, rutschen und sich abkühlen können. Besuchen Sie das Jay Green, in dem JEMS-Theater, Freiluftkonzerte und Sommerfestivals stattfinden. Perfect for a winter getaway!

So easy, so clean and so quiet. There’s really much more to say - the cottage was an oasis in a winter wonderland! We used it to get to Lake Placid which was about 30-40mins away. But the snow was great and there’s so much to do! I will definitely be back!!

warm people and great mountain view

First of all, the owner of the cottage Mike and Mini are very kind, friendly and communicative! The cottage is very charming, perfect for a small group, beautiful tall trees around, and great mountain view. My kids enjoyed sled when snowed and hike when it got warmer. My partner who loves taking pictures was excited about beautiful farms, animals there and nice view everywhere. We would love to go back again!

Relaxing stay.... Perfect getaway

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit at the Adirondack Star Ridge Cottage! Everything was cute, clean, and cozy, and in a nice secluded area that afforded us privacy and quiet. The cottage is in prime location for visiting the primo spots in the area - a half hr drive to Lake Placid, Plattsburgh, Lake Champlain, etc...- right smack-dab in the middle of it all. Mike and Mini are truly wonderful people. They were always ready to help out in whatever way they could, but also valued our privacy. The views from the cottage are good, but the views from Mike and Mini's spot up the road are nothing short of amazing! I've been gone less than a week and already miss it there.... Thank you Mike and Mini for the hospitality and lodging - we hope to be back in the future! Best wishes,

Spectacular Summer Sanctuary

After unlocking the door and walking into the cottage, we knew we had made the perfect choice for our vacation. We are incredibly picky and snobby about accommodations and this cottage exceeded the mark. It was beyond immaculately clean, bright, and beautiful. The view was amazing and the forest sounds so peaceful. This was the perfect home base to venture out hiking and sight seeing. It was so comfortable that the day it rained we had no problems cuddling on the couch and enjoying the rainy afternoon. Our hosts were so relaxed, helpful, and inviting it almost felt like family. We watched the Fourth of July fireworks with Mike and pup Terry from their front yard after a gorgeous sunset. They made us feel very welcome and at home. Thank you so much for wonderful memories and relaxation. It was just what we needed.

Awesome property in a truly spectacular location!!!!

We loved our stay for a long ski weekend at this property!!!! The property grounds are just truly amazing. The grounds are immense and are "off the beaten path", which we just loved. Our dog was able to run free with our having no worries of traffic, etc. We walked the driveway frequently during the days of our stay and it was like enjoying a private nature walk. The view at the top of the driveway is absolutely breathtaking. Despite the remote location, supplies are readily accessible at nearby grocery stores, etc. The house itself is extremely well-appointed. We cooked all of our meals but one during our stay and we found everything we needed to do this in the fully equipped kitchen. The house was also extremely clean and comfortable. Mike and Mini are wonderful hosts who put a lot of heart into making their property the perfect "home-away-from-home". We'd definitely highly recommend this property to anyone headed up to this area!!!!

Secluded peace

This is more of a house than a cottage and it is top notch. Mike & Mini have attended to everything, from the supplied shampoo and soap in the shower, all the towels, sheets blankets down to the condiments in the fridge which came in very handy. The view from the deck of the trees and of the North scenery was a great place to hang out for the week to read and relax, and a short walk up the lane offered a beautiful view of the high peaks region to the west. Mike & Mini were very attentive to our needs and shared their campfire with us in their front yard which offered the wonderful view. Our only complaint was that we booked this for only one week instead of two. The cottage is very up to date and was very clean with a full complement of appliances - the washer and dryer was great to take advantage of before heading home. I would not hesitate to book this again as I'm sure we will.

Perfect!

This place was more than perfect to accommodate our family! Traveling with infant twins and a 4 year old, we needed a place that would be family friendly and boy did this place deliver! The amenities this lovely well kept cottage had made our stay so much easier! Not only that but it was SO quiet and peaceful. You really felt like you were "getting away". Our 4 year old loved exploring outside and collecting pinecones and leaves to make art formations. Our infants slept peacefully both nights-they even had a pack n play crib and high chair available. A short 30 minute drive took us to Lake Placid for the day, and the girls LOVED Asgaard Farm around the corner. They had so much fun with the animals, and we picked up some fresh steaks, sausages, and yummy goat cheese for dinner! GORGEOUS place, views, and SO accommodating. The owners truly thought of everything. So clean! We recommend to anyone with a family or without, this place would be perfect for a romantic getaway as well!

Beautiful, peaceful cottage; wonderful location

We loved everything about our stay here. The cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed- we felt immediately comfortable and at home. The view at the top of the ridge is absolutely breathtaking. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We also really liked the location- it’s about 30 minutes from Lake Placid, so easy to take advantage of restaurants and activities there, and come back home to the serenity of the cottage. Also close to lots of great hikes. Highly recommended!

Lovely setting, terrific hosts, beautiful cottage

My wife and I enjoyed an entire week in early August in this spotless, well-appointed cottage on a ridge in the northern Adirondacks. Our hosts, Mini and Mike, were extremely attentive to our comfort, even texting us the day before our arrival to make sure we wouldn't have trouble finding the cottage. The cottage itself is lovely--perfect for the two of us, although there was an extra bedroom with twin beds that would have been great for children or the right couple. The kitchen was well equipped. There were lots of good books and games available. We had a great week. In addition to enjoying the area--hiking, swimming in lakes, taking in the gorgeous scenery--we also took two day trips, one to Burlington, VT by ferry, and one to Montreal. Both are easy to get to. We had a terrific stay--peaceful, quiet and scenic--with exceptionally nice hosts.

Adirondack delight

This cottage is on the most beautiful property. It doesn’t have a view itself but the hosts are so warm and inviting to join them just up the ridge for spectacular mountain views and evening bonfires. The area is rich in natural beauty and cute local charm from an area goat farm, to community art fairs, to restaurants set against the backdrop of rivers and mountains. The house was clean and comfortable and mostly a perfect home base to explore from. These hosts and all their properties on the same land are awesome. We would return in a heartbeat.

Comfortable and Quaint Stay

My friends and I had a rather good stay at this rental home in the mountains. It was very close to town and ideal for a ski weekend. The tempurpedic beds were a dream to sleep on and the kitchen was fully stocked. The owners also stayed in touch the entire time and were very helpful when needed.

My husband, our son and his best friend stayed at Au Sable Star Ridge over the long Martin Luther King weekend. It was a wonderful get away. The cottage was well appointed, cozy and spotless. Amazing Adirondack Vacation - Highly recommend this property

The owners are so welcoming, providing al the information we needed prior to our arrival. They checked in on us to make sure we arrived safely and to wish us safe travels on our way out. The home itself is very well kept and clean. There is a wood stove that keeps the house plenty warm, and the owners provided wood and fire starting material) or you could turn on the heat. The steam shower was super nice after a day spent playing in the snow. It has good views from the back porch and breathtaking views of Whiteface Mountain just a short walk up the drive. It was a perfect spot for early morning coffee and nighttime campfire s’mores. We would love to visit again. We have absolutely no complaints about the house, location, views or friendly owners. I would recommend this house to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Plenty of heat (from a variety of sources) is just one thing of many we offer in abundance at the Cottage, Adirondack Star Ridge but is especially important when the temps outside can drop well below freezing and our guests are unaccustomed to our Northern Winter weather. There is nothing more satisfying than standing barefoot on a warm radiant floor in your pjs while peering out the double-glazed windows onto a frosty wonderland. Come explore all the Adirondacks is about in the Winter months, then rest up in the comfort of the Cottage, Adirondack Star Ridge.

Wonderful Adirondack Getaway

The house is clean and well kept. It has a huge deck and a propane grill. Good views from the deck. It's in the woods and totally secluded. It's on 30 acres, the owners welcome you to walk up the long driveway which has a clearing (pictured) with INCREDIBLE views (w/ places to sit and a big fire pit too). Just walking the driveway is kind of like a beautiful hike in the woods. The owners are accommodating and friendly. They are located on the other side of the property so far enough away to be separated yet close enough if you should need anything. The house itself is very tidy and well kept. Master bedroom, 2nd bedroom, kitchen and bathroom and a small dining area. Kitchen has a massive very nice counter for eating as well. They have wireless broadband internet. You can make a fire in the woodstove if you want (we did), or just turn up the electric heat. Very comfortable inside. At night, it's dark enough to not only see all the stars but also the Milky Way. Great star-gazing from the deck. Really I couldn't recommend it any stronger. Just a nice place, secluded and private and fantastic. Only about 2 miles from the main road, yet totally in the mountains. It's a really good place.

Thanks for the great review folks! Come on back when you can. As you mentioned the wood stove is available with wood provided but as a back up simply use the deliciously comfortable radiant floor heat organized into 3 zones: bath, bedrooms and remainder of the Cottage. Cheers all! Mini & Mike

Very Relaxing

We had a great time. The place was clean and the perfect size for us. The ridge view was breath taking and the owners were great to talk to. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful!

A peaceful, beautiful spot. It is close enough to awesome Adirondack locations, yet on Star Ridge you feel removed from it all. The deck at the Cottage was a private, relaxing tree-house gathering space. Morning coffee & sunrises to evening star and moon gazing. Walking up the drive to see the sunset each night from the top of the Ridge was breathtaking. Mike & Mini have really thought of everything you’ll need to have and to know about your stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Stayed with my parents from Japan. They loved and loved it

The property and view from the cottage itself and the owners property right up to the hill is breathtaking. Mini and Mike bonfire for the guest and came to see us to welcome us. Just excellent host and hostess and cottage is recharging for your fast life style

A peaceful retreat with extra comforts

What a fantastic find, Mike and Mini were so welcoming and we were able to sit by their fire pit on a couple of nights and the kids loved the smores that were on offer! The house has everything you would need and is very comfortable. We ate outside everyday as we were so lucky with the weather and loved swinging on the seat in the garden - the boys even slept in their hammocks outside for 2 nights in the garden which was so remote and peaceful. It is a stunning area, lots to do and see, hiking, climbing, paddling, kayaking and even a farmers market on the Sunday in Keene where we got lovely cheese and bread. Our favourite spot was stag brook falls which was only a mile but we had it to ourselves on a very hot day and just paddled all the way down through clear waters. Would recommended for anyone who likes to get away from everything and see amazing sunsets.

Beautiful and peaceful place. Mini and Mike are great hosts.

The perfect place to getaway from the city with awesome views of the mountains and great star gazing. The cottage had everything we needed and was close to numerous hiking trails, Lake Placid, and various activities. Definitely a place we'd go back to.

This vacation rental has all the features of home in a pristine setting among the beauty of the Adirondacks. The ridge area ( 5 minute walk up the driveway from the Cottage) faces out towards the High Peaks and Whiteface Mountain. The majestic views from the ridge make for a surreal experience at sunrise and sunset. NOTE: Absolutely NO outside fires permitted on the property. The ridge fire pit is not active and must remain unused at this time.
Overall, our intention is that the Cottage on Adirondack Star Ridge be an experience which make's possible memories to last a lifetime. The wonderful guests that have been called to our property take with them the benefits of a relaxing and renewing experience and leave their imprint for those who follow. Our past guest's comments speak to the benefit of choosing the Cottage on Adirondack Star Ridge, a quiet seemingly remote (but still close to everything great in the High Peaks!) location to relax and recharge their batteries. In fact many guests hardly ever leave the peace of Adirondack Star Ridge! They walk the short 5 minute hike up to the ridge to catch a sunset or just relax on their own 700 sq.' deck overlooking the forest and NE views beyond. There is a new screen room on the deck for your enjoyment.
