It’s funny to hear her comments considering she still hasn’t paid for her stay. It’s sad when a host gets a guest which is out to scam them and doesn’t pay for their stay. Tabatha and her husband booked our place in honor of her husband’s birthday. However upon checking in we came to know that their credit card declined for insufficient funds. As emphatic hosts we did our best to work with them so they can enjoy their birthday weekend even though their booking payment declined. She made it a point to state that she and her husband were honest and would not run away from paying and begged us to let them enjoy their birthday weekend and they would take care of the payment once they got back home since she didn’t have any money at the time. Trying to be empathetic to her situation and giving her the benefit of the doubt, we were nice enough not to ask them to vacate the premises immediately for non payment. Only to be given the run around and still waiting around to reply to our messages and make good on their word almost a week later. Guests like Tabatha give the hospitality business a bad name and ruin things for everyone. I am hopeful that they will make good on their word so we don’t have to take legal action or report them.
