Beautiful property, great location except for the construction noise.

This is a large, spacious and lovely property. Steps to the beach and a short walk to plenty of restaurants, shops and beach clubs. We stayed here 10 weeks with another couple and generally enjoyed our stay except for the constant construction across the street. This made enjoying the pool impossible. That said, the beach is close by. The place in a good shape and could use just a few minor updates. We found the unit very spacious and comfortable. The property management were very responsive and dealt with any questions or issues very quickly. We would definitely recommend (the construction should be done soon).

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely time in Punta Cana. This was a 2 week stay. The property was very clean and kitchen well equipped. I would suggest the owner provide some trash bags, salt and pepper and sugar as some simple staples. Just an FYI to all potential clients, this property is up 3 flights of stairs and no elevator. We really tipped extra to our cab driver who hauled our luggage all the way to the top!! If you don't stay in one of the massive resorts it is very hard to find access to the beach. This property is just down an alley to the beach...also the beach view is only from the roof of this unit btw. I would suggest buying/taking your own chairs to use at the beach because all the chairs currently on the beach are owned by resorts and they run you off (and not very politely) if you are not a resident of their establishment...also you don't have access to bathrooms on the beach as there are no public bathrooms.

Thank you for your feedback. Upon check in, you are provided with a STARTER package of bathroom and kitchen supplies that include salt/pepper, sugar, coffee, toilet paper, trash bags, laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap, etc... . If you need additional items, we would be happy to provide directions to the nearest grocery store. Listing states no elevator and pictures show the view of the ocean only from the roof top terrace. In terms of beach access and beach chairs, there are over a dozen restaurants and bars on the beach that have facilities including bathrooms... all of them within a few minutes walking including Lio Beach which is right on the alley you mention which is 1 minute walk from the condo. You buy at least a beer (US$2) and you will have a place to sit and bathroom facilities to use. Resort facilities are only for those staying at the resort or those who purchase a day pass from the resort ($50-$85 per day) and it includes the use of al facilities, food and beverage including alcohol. So, there are options, you just have to be willing to pay a few bucks in order to enjoy the facilities... of course if you decide you want to bring your own... you can do that as well... bring one of our provided beach towels, insulated mugs with beverage of choice, sandwich and chips you bring from your kitchen and you are all set... Options are available.. you just have to decide which one works best for you. See you next year!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Apartment is stylish and well laid out with two separate sitting areas (which helped with spreading out out for remote work/school during pandemic). Having three bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms was appreciated by our family. It is a very short walk to the beach and there are a variety of restaurants in the neighborhood within a short walk. Apartment was clean upon arrival and host was very responsive to any questions or maintenance requests. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this apartment if staying in the Bavaro Beach area. Be aware that this area of Punta Cana is very noisy with neighbors blasting various music, shouting, loudspeakers, helicopters overhead doing tours during the day and resort parties (sometimes until 1am). We kept our windows open to catch the breeze rather than run the A/C all day. The other issue we had at this apartment was water pressure was inconsistent and you would get alternating hot and cold water during a shower. All things considered, we really enjoyed our stay and loved the apartment.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was very nice, three floors with no elevator. No beach area. WRONG Location. You have to contact through emails only, in which they were very quick to respond. The two ladies were very pleasant and professional.

Thank you for your review, but to clarify We've had many other guests stay and enjoy as well as there are 17 other units in the community with the majority owned by foreign investors who use as their vacation home. Our condo has new as well as returning guests that rent every year. The beach is 50 meters away and the condo has ocean view as shown in the photos. We also have a full staff with office location less than a 2 minute drive away. We do greet and check in clients in person when they arrive during business hours. For after hours, like your arrival, it is done via lock box and we provide instructions via email. You decided to leave before we even had an opportunity to come greet you and do the formal check in the next morning after your late arrival. You sent us and email stating you were leaving and did not come by the office or give us the opportunity to meet with you. It is unfortunate that we were unable to please this guest. Please feel free to discuss any concerns you may have with us before you rent. We feel sure you will enjoy your stay at our condo.

Beach Residence July Family Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Residence was very nice and clean, as well as the outside grounds and swimming pool. We stayed in B6, which was on the top floor, with a roof top terrace. As nice as it was, it was about three flights of stairs to climb, which is a lot when carrying luggage and grocery. That end of Bavaro Beach was disgustingly full of seaweed. However, we walked further down the beach towards one of the larger resorts, I believe was NOW Larimar which was very clean and barely no seaweed. The condo was in walking distance to great little restaurants with great food, Citris is a must visit for a great meal and Dahalia's offered great pastries. Towels were provided but no wash cloths so be sure to bring some with you. The WiFi worked half the time, but we never reported it b/c we just thought it would pop back on eventually. There is no dishwasher so be prepared to wash your dishes and no garbage disposal. The electric was very expensive so be mindful of your usage when there because you will be charged a cash deposit upon arrival and any additional cost upon leaving depending on the meter reading (this is the downside vs staying in a hotel). Management was great; we needed light bulbs changed and the guy was there within minutes to replace them. The one thing I must complain about is a lot of the white towels should be replaced. It was mentioned upon signing in, that a missing towel would be $30 US dollars, REALLY, for towels that looked like they were worth $30 pesos. Overall, would I stay here again, YES!, just maybe on a lower floor, lol

Thank you for your review. We have purchased new towels (all sizes), sheets and linens for the condo. Beach towels are the only ones that we charge US$30 for lost towel, not the bath towels. The Dominican Republic is a developing country and it has it's challenges in regards to cost effective electricity distribution. Therefore, to encourage renters to conserve electricity during their stay, they will be responsible for electricity charges during their stay. We collect an ELECTRICITY DEPOSIT IN CASH UPON ARRIVAL. It is just a DEPOSIT, real consumption calculated at the end of your stay and deducted from the CASH DEPOSIT PAID UPON ARRIVAL. We will verify the electricity meter readings before check-in and after check-out to determine your electricity usage. You will then be charged for actual usage. It is very simple - you pay for what you consume. We read the meter at check in and read again prior to check out. The meter can be self monitored daily. The local rate is BETWEEN $0.30 AND $0.35 per kw/h. Normal consumption is $5-10 per day for a 1 & 2 bedroom, $10-$15 per day for a 3 & 4 bedroom and $25-$30 for Villas in Cocotal Golf. Above average consumption for a 1 & 2 bedroom, usually will not exceed $20 per day, for 3 & 4 bedroom will not exceed $30 per day and for Villas in Cocotal will not exceed $50 per day.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I must stay that the apartment was just as nice as the pictures. I had no issues with the apartment. It was spacey, 3 floors, nice ac units all over, good accommodations. I did have issues with the building management not the same as the management office which helps with your reservation they were great. In the pool area we were listening to music. Not loud at all; yet we were told to lower it. If it was loud I could understand mind you it was 1:30pm. Per the contract those are not quite hours. In any event she was nasty and the next day they put signs in the pool area stating music is not allowed. Another disappointment was the street which was extremely narrow. To much traffic and hard to move over so cars could pass. That was a project. Beach wasn’t great not unless you walked to the other side. It had tons of seaweed. Otherwise the location was close to all. Walking distance. Again the apartment and owner were great. Building management not so great.

I was a little hesitant about the services offered vs provided, but I can assure you that the condo is actually nicer in person that the pictures convey. The staff was extremely professional and gave us all the information we needed. When I travel abroad, correct information and convenience are critical for my trip to be fun, and I have nothing but high marks for this property and its managers. From the initial greeting to the services we needed mid trip to the closeout process, this was an extremely professional team. Thank you!!! I know the 7 of us were not the easiest but you made our time in Punta Cana one that will be tough to duplicate. The outdoor areas (pool and patios) are excellent, and location is walking location to the beach and many restaurants. The beach did have excess seaweed however. The restaurants close by (we tried 4) were all excellent. I guess the highest compliment I could give is that I would do this trip over in a heartbeat....same condo, same location, next time though I would stay for longer. Thank you to the property manager!!

Wonderful family holidays

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spend 11 days at Beach Residence B6. Wonderful location and property. Plenty of room for a big group ( It was only 7 of us and was more than plenty space) beautiful decor, furnishings. Large bedrooms with wonderful wardrobes or walking closets, plenty of towels including beach towels and change of sheets if necesary. Location is superb, Canoa ( the restaurant just next door right on the beach) is very convenient as well as the all inclusive to the right ( as you face the ocean) that has that buit water breake that stops seaweed from coming. The little plaza where BAM market and Citrus cafe ( best restaurant in town) are is a convinient spot for dinning and groceries shopping. Anything that you need is at walking distance. We had a problems, on the 24th, yes Xmas eve, in the afternoon when all locals went to their families to celebrate i noticed a strong gas smell in the laundry room. Even though the office was closed Anny send me a technician to fix it on a beat considering that this person was already home with his family an hour away. The other problem we encounter was that the whole building run out of water one afternoon, I learned later that was a problem generated by a broken piece on the water pump and the security guard did not comunicate early enough with the building manager, but as soon as i contacted Anny she started to move things along and a couple of hours later the problem was solved. The office at GoPuntaCana really does an awesome job at taking care of their guest, we can not be happier about the experience and stay. We definately consider Beach Residence again and ofcurse GoPuntaCana for our next time there.??

Great beach house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Close to the beach, very light, roomy, everything you need. Due possibly to the saltiness, some of the fixtures seemed a bit "worn", but still workable.The description was exactly as the residence was, no surprises. Supermarket close by over priced as was one of the nearby restaurants (adapting exchange rates as they choose), but that happens at all tourist spots, so to be expected. Suggest a car rental so as to be able to explore other beaches (Juanillo, Bayahibe and Macao for example).As a forewarning, all the water in the apartment is slightly salty, definitely not for drinking or cooking - you have to buy your own at the supermarket nearby - they deliver.

Fantastic Beach Vacation!

While there are no amenities on the property, there is a fantastic restaurant at the end of the street right on the beach that serves breakfast, lunch and great drinks. Also very close to a small shopping center that has a great restaurant,fun bar, market, bakery. The condo was spectacular. One of the nicest places I've ever stayed (and I've stayed in a lot of nice places!)

Beach Residency B-6

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at Beach Residency. The staff was very responsive and helpful. The location was an easy walk to BAM market and several restaurants, Citrus being the best. B-6 is on the third floor and no elevator. Drinking was is available in the local stores but the best source is to get it from the staff. For a few $ they will bring 5 gal. Bottle to your unit. The bar on the beach is very accommodating and has a good lunch. As a customer you can use the loungers. The local club is very loud but they close at 11 pm.The pool is nice and a good way to rinse off salt. They have a separate shower for rinsing off sand. We had as many as 5 adults and never felt crowded. Had a problem with mosquitos but staff responded with insecticide very quickly. A lot of the screens don't fit very well but overall the mosquitos weren't much of a problem. For groceries definitely have the driver stop at the supermarket. You can also ride the local bus to the Super Polo Market for a few pesos.

Beautiful unit with great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed out stay at this property. The listing was very accurate in terms of appearance, amenities, and location. The property is beautiful. It's literally a 2 minute walk from the beach. 5 minute walk to the nearby grocery store, and there's a great authentic Dominican restaurant at the end of the block. Every room is equipped with an AC unit, but we only ran ours at night to sleep and took advantage of the nice cross-breezes at night. We had no problems with the unit and the rental company was very responsive any time we reached out. Would definitely stay here again!

Punta Cana Feb. 2015 Beach Residence PH-B6

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. Reviewer Comments: The unit was everything the pictures showed it to be.The unit was beautiful and had lots of room.The roof top was great with chairs for sun bathing or an area for sitting in the shade. The bed rooms are large and nicely furnished.The living room is plenty spacious with a large TV and DVD player. The kitchen is a little small compared to the rest of the unit . The owner could use some utensils . A plastic spatula for the fry pans. And a water picture container or 2 to pour the Five gallon water bottles into for serving . This unit is within 350 feet of the Ocean!!! Talk to the other tenants in the other units . They can help you with where to shop from dinning to alcohol to groceries. You can get water jugs at the green bldg store across the street at the end of the road . 50 to 55 pesos for a jug . The Alaska container has to be exchanged @ the super polo or Alaska bottling company about 6 blocks past the super polo threw the stop lights and past Don Locas cigar factory . . Its 32 pesaos @ their site . We had a great time while we were down there and look forward to going back next year.
