The house was quite small but a good fit for our family. The neighborhood was quiet and it was close to the cliffs to walk. If you want secluded this is the place for you.

Property is well located in Ocean beach and floor plan is good. It needs some TLC though as it is a bit out of updating. A/C is only in the living room so the two bedrooms are warmer. Cleanliness was questionable. It could use a better housecleaning. Towels were limited for a rental for 8 persons. Otherwise it is a good place for the price. Nice ocean view from front porch. Parking was OK. We never had a problem parking.

Great home away from home

First, it’s a great location. Very comfortable, loved my main bedroom! Nice size kitchen and dining table. Our only hiccup was getting in to house as batteries had died.

The house is a great location, the view is pretty. We stayed 4 nights. The house needs some updated but it’s usually what you expect with a beach rental. The listing doesn’t say clearly that it is a shared unit or at all from what I read. They have a back rental as well and didn’t let me know until I got my check in instructions. I would have liked to know that before booking. The house was hot when we checked in but had ac in the front room. Once we got that on it stayed comfortable. They need to replace the tower fans since they are broken but I got them working enough. I would stay here again, beds are comfortable. The bunk beds are a little wobbly so definitely just for kids not a grown adult.

We had a great holiday - the area is great and the host was friendly and responsive. However, there were a few issues - the dishwasher was out of action despite being listed as an amenity - having 4 young children with us this made for quite a lot of washing up! We also found the property wasn't as clean as we'd expected - there were crumbs on the worktops, rubbish under beds and the outside area was pretty run down. There were also a few safety concerns - parts of the decking outside were splintered and worn through, there was an exposed piece of rusty metal by one of the door frames and several windows also wouldn't lock, which made us a little uncomfortable leaving valuables in the property. We had a great time, but taken together we felt that the property was priced a little high.

We needed to find a last minute place to stay, as the other property we had booked had a leak, and had to cancel. We were thrilled to find a place in OB as it is one of my favorites places, and my mother used to live in Point Loma. My mother, daughter, myself and my dog enjoyed the stay very much. The only issue was the shared back yard. That was not entirely clear to us in the Listing/booking, that it was a shared space. The first person we shared the space with was mellow. The second was very intimidating, and it really put a damper on teh end of our trip.

The property had several maintenance and cleanliness issues during our stay. We found sheets left in the dryer and dirty knives in the kitchen. The blinds by the front door and in the bedroom were broken, and with no curtains. One of the windows was broken and sealed with duct tape. The shower handle in one of the bathrooms was damaged requiring us to jiggle it to turn the water on, but we couldn’t control the temperature. Overall, the location was fine, but the property needs better upkeep and attention to detail.

This property was not clean. The showers still had black mold and hair on the step in. The main bathroom was missing light bulbs and the master bedroom had no fan. The house was hot. The listing showed items not even in the house. I felt like we rented a halfway house. Could these issues be resolved for the next renter? Perhaps, but I would be skeptical because we received no solution when it was reported when we first walk in. No need to keep going....
