Entspannen Sie sich und einen gemütlichen Urlaub mit der Familie, Freunden und Haustieren auf dem Shenandoah River genießen.
Sweetwater Ferienwohnung neu Häuschen auf der South Fork des Shenandoah River (Meile 12) nördlich von Luray renoviert. Die Umgebung bietet ausgezeichnete Jagd sowie ultra-lite und Fliegenfischen für Flussbarsch, Krempe, Rote-Augen-Bass sowie Hetze für alte Bekannte wie Welse und Karpfen. Es gibt zahlreiche Wander- und Reitwege in der gesamten Region und mehr als 26 Meilen von gut Kanu Wasser mit offenem Zugang. Wenn Sie in Pflanzen und Bäumen sind, gibt es eine Vielzahl von sowohl in der Umgebung. Ich habe auch ein gutes Buch und ein Fernglas zur Vogelbeobachtung (Baltimore Orioles nisten entlang des Flusses im Frühjahr und Frühsommer) oder machen Sie es sich am Lagerfeuer oder in der Hängematte mit dem Lieblingsroman empfehlen Sie lesen sind bedeutend. Dies ist definitiv Virginia Outdoors vom Feinsten!

Sweetwater Cottage, # 5 Lorelei Lane, Luray, VA, renoviert ist neu und wird auf 3 qm großen Gelände entlang des Shenandoah River) gelegen. Das Ferienhaus verfügt über eine voll ausgestattete Küche mit Gasherd und Backofen, Geschirr, Besteck, Töpfe und Pfannen, Kaffeemaschine, Mikrowelle, Waffeleisen, und ein Vollbad mit Wanne / Dusche-Kombination. Es verfügt nun über zwei Schlafzimmer, Wohnzimmer, Essbereich Picknick-Tische, große Feuerstelle, Gas-Grill und ein neuer 12'x40 'abgeschirmten Veranda mit einem spektakulären Blick auf den Fluss. Sleeping Arrangements im Ferienhaus verfügt über zwei Queen-Size-Betten und ein Doppel-Futon-Bett im Wohnzimmer und ein Doppel-Futon-Bett im Speise Verlängerung. Es ist DSL Internet und Netflix, TV / DVD-Player sowie eine Stereoanlage mit CD-Player zur Verfügung. Bettwäsche wird gestellt, aber Sie müssen Ihre eigenen Handtücher, Schlafsäcke, Lebensmittel, Küchenzubehör und Getränke mitbringen.

Cottage-Mieter können ihre individuelle Unterkunft erweitern, indem sie ihr Wohnmobil mitbringen und an die RV-Anschlüsse des Cottage anschließen.

We had a wonderful time at this cottage right on the south fork of the Shenandoah River. It was clean and comfortable and we loved passing time sitting on the screened in porch. I enjoyed floating on the river with the provided tubes and kayaks. The kitchen is well provisioned for making almost anything. We would definitely stay here again

Outstanding stay!

My family stayed here for a week right after the Christmas holiday and absolutely fell in love with the cabin and the property.From exploring the cabin grounds, enjoying the firepit by the river, or just sitting, our kids loved life by the river and so did we.Jan and John were wonderful hosts and their place had everything you needed in the kitchen to make your stay enjoyable.We’ll be back!!

Great cabin, excellent owners

They have stocked this cabins with SO much you really feel right at home and should be all ready to quickly settle in to relaxing right on the river, and get your firepit lit :) our toddler absolutely loved it too and she did great sleeping in the rooms again (this is our third or fourth time i think renting this cabin) and the outlets in there are the new kind that don’t need outlet protectors!!

Perfect cabin in a beautiful location

We are a family of 3 with a small dog, and we had an amazing time here. Cabin is clean and exactly as described, and it has anything you could need. Location is secluded without being too isolated. We spent our time in the nearby Shenandoah Natl Park, canoeing on the river, and just relaxing in and around the cabin. Jan was responsive and easy to communicate with, and we would definitely stay here again.

Although there are more water activities to experience in the warm weather months, the cooler temperatures divert people in other directions that prove to yield equally rewarding experiences. Fantastic River Front Vacation

My husband and I were very impressed with the house, the property setting and all the admendities. The kitchen is well stocked and laid out very functionally. FINALLY, a rental with comfortable beds! The screened in porch is also amazing!! The sounds of the running water and views are so peaceful and soothing! We would rent here again for sure!

Great Family Location

This is a great family vacation experience! Great location for fishing, wading, tubing and swimming or just relaxing by the river. Lovely serene, private setting and a very well appointed cottage. We particularly enjoyed the lovely screened porch with a great view of the river, but you can also cook outside over the open fire. Our 4 year o;d grandson really enjoyed searcing for creatures in the river bed. We will definitely go back!

Great Summer Vacation Spot!

We had a fantastic time at the cottage! The cottage was even better than the pictures show. We truly enjoyed our time on the river...very peaceful location yet it's near great attractions. The owners were very easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. It is very hard to find rentals that allow dogs and this place was VERY dog friendly. Our dog loved swimming in the river and hiking in the Shenandoah National Park. A great location for people who love to bring their pets on vacation!

Not a Moment Wasted

Our experience at this cottage was so wonderful, exactly what my family needed. It was such a beautiful and peaceful place that gave us the space we needed to bond and reconnect. The hosts are very communicative and kind, and went out of their way to be thoughtful toward my family by pulling out the right size life jackets for my kids and even pulling out a kiddie pool for them. We didn’t waste a moment of our trip here and can’t wait to come back.

Serenity indeed!

What a great weekend with friends and family! If you want to experience the best Virginia has to offer, spend a few days at the Cottage. It truly is a beautiful place! There is plenty to do if you want to keep busy(kayaking, fishing, etc.) or you can simply relax in the shade and enjoy the sounds of nature. I hope to visit again sometime soon!!

If heaven ain't a lot like this waterfront cottage, I don't wanna go.

What an amazing property. Great view of the river, ample outdoor space, with nicely updated interior (especially the kitchen). My kids enjoyed the giant swing and hanging around the fire pit. The wifi worked great, able to stream on the Roku TV. I hope to go back again someday and bring the rest of the family. Thanks Jan and John!

Paradise found!

My husband and I took 2 of our grandchildren , age 12, with us to the cabin. We had an absolutely fantastic time! I can't think of a single thing we wanted that wasn't there. We loved the river, the canoeing, the tubing, the swing, the screen porch, the fire pit......and the (air conditioned!) cabin! Can't wait to go back again as soon as possible!

Everything you want, right on the river

It really is right next to the river, which you can hear constantly in the background. It was gorgeous! The screened in porch was a highlight of the house, giving ample space to sip coffee and watch the sun rise. There are good trails to get into right next to the property, and a bit of driving will lead to more. Host was quick to respond to a few questions I had.

John took off his Army uniform in 1995 and after working at PEO Soldier, Ft. Belvoir, VA finally retired from the Army in March of 2022 after a total of 47 years with the Army and now works for Jan. Jan and John enjoy fishing in both fresh and saltwater, being with our kids and grandkids, helping people make good memories at Sweetwater and being of service to our Lord and Savior.

Sweetwater was love at first sight! We originally purchased it as a private retreat, but found that being able to show others the Virginia Outdoors and what a relaxing time was all about, was extremely gratifying and decided to start sharing it with others . Life here moves at the speed of the river - very slowly! The river at Sweetwater washes away all the stresses associated with life in and around the National Capital region and rejuvenates the mind, body and soul as only the peace and solitude of the outdoors can.

Love sitting out along the river bank on a cool spring morning listening to the songs of the Baltimore Orioles or the owls hooting on a warm summer night while sleeping on the screened in porch. The peace and tranquility of floating down the river on a warm summers day while laying on an air mattress with my face submerged under water with mask and snorkel watching the river bottom and all the associated critters pass by. Or the joy of a “gourmet” smore cooked to perfection over a campfire while playing 4, 5, 6, and 12 stringed instruments and singing (or howling) with friends and family is one of life's greatest pleasures. Being rewarded with a nice bass as a result of a not so perfect cast. Finally, marveling at all of the wonders that surround you at Sweetwater and appreciating the beauty of God's creativity!
