Sweet Lake House! Updated 5BR Lake Home, Close to Lake Michigan, Beaches, Skiing

Welcome to our beautiful, fully updated 5 bedroom home on the gorgeous, private Sweet Lake in SW Michigan! The house sits on a large, secluded lot, with two piers and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. You can relax, swim, fish, or enjoy the lake with our kayaks, paddle boards, row and paddle boats in the summer, or you can ski, snowmobile, or ice fish in the winter. The home is conveniently located about 5 min from Gobles, 10 min to Allegan, 25 min to the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan, 35 minutes to Saugatuck. Bittersweet and Timber Ridge Ski resorts are 15 min away.

The house offers plenty of room for a great family vacation where you can spend time on the water, visit the beach towns on Lake Michigan, or ski the nearby ski resorts! The entire home was completely remodeled in 2023 and with 5 bedrooms can comfortably sleep 10+ people. You are close to many Lake Michigan beach towns, multiple wineries, golf courses, hiking, skiing, snowmobile trials, and many local attractions! Sweet Lake is private, very peaceful and quiet (even on the busiest days of the year), and is known for its great fishing.

Guests can use four bikes, a rowboat, a paddle boat, 2 kayaks, and 2 paddle boards (available May - October). From our two docks, you can swim, launch your kayak/paddle board, or fish! We have a swim raft on the lake and a game room in the garage (ping pong table, foosball table, etc.). Outside we have a grill, outdoor chairs/furniture, and a fire pit with seating. Sweet Lake has great fishing, and you can catch fish right off the docks (bass, perch, catfish, pike, bluegill, etc.). All guests accept the risks of using the swim raft, water toys and devices, walking on the docks, and being directly on the water. All children MUST be supervised when in the backyard, near, or in the water. The owners will not be held responsible in any way for accidents that may occur.

The lake is also very beautiful in the fall and winter months! Come, relax and enjoy the views or use the house as your ski base (we offer ski storage in the garage)! There are two ski areas within 10-15 minutes drive from the house - Bittersweet and Timber Ridge Ski Resorts. Cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and hiking is available at the Kal-Haven trail state park (less than 10 minutes away). Several other state parks (Van Buren Trial and Wolf Tree Nature Trails) are also nearby. You can also come for ice fishing (we can't guarantee when the lake will be frozen).

The entrance of the home leads you to a large living/kitchen area with ample seating and 55” TV. The fully updated kitchen is large and open, and stocked with everything that you need to prepare a meal. You can dine on the kitchen island or have a family dinner and the large dining room table in the adjacent family room. The kitchen connects to a massive family/dining room that has beautiful views of the lake. You can relax on the comfortable seating furniture with another 55” TV, enjoy the lake view, or have a meal at the dining table.

All five (5) bedrooms are all beautifully decorated and have brand new memory foam mattresses for a great night sleep. The master suite and the second bedroom have king beds, third and fourth bedrooms have queens with an additional twin bed, and the fifth bedroom has two twin beds. The two bedrooms on the lower level are connected. The home has 2.5 completely updated bathrooms (one on the lower level). If you need to do laundry, we have a washer/dryer in the laundry room.

The deck off the family room faces the water and provides a great setting to capture all four seasons at the lake. The unobstructed water views are spectacular, and you can even enjoy them while grilling dinner on our Weber grill. From the house, you just walk to the large lake-side deck, the fire pit area, and two docks, to enjoy the lake with friends and family! The house has a central air/heat and a gas generator.

Please note that no parties, loud noise, etc. are allowed at the property. This is a township quiet hours ordinance 10 pm - 8 am. We have neighbors and we ask our guests to respect them. The neighbors will call the police and the guests will be asked to leave if the noise ordinance is violated.
