Great location, well appointed
We loved the location of this property. Access to the beach was steps away and made it easy for our stay with 3 kids (10, 5, 3). The kitchen was well stocked with equipment to cook quick meals and reheat food, though some basic staples like olive oil, salt and pepper would have been handy. The beds were comfortable and house was well laid out.
We were disappointed the pool did not have an option to heat it up. Neighboring houses all had that option so others in the area enjoyed their pools while ours was WAY too cold (over Spring Break). The option to pay a fee to heat it up would have been great. You just never know with the weather in the spring. Also, additional lighting in and around the pool would be nice. It's very dark on the pool deck in the evenings.
The description for this rental was confusing. It's listed as a HOUSE but I did not see where it clearly explained this is a DUPLEX and the pool is SHARED with the neighbor. I was under the impression we booked a private home with a private pool and beach walkway. I recommend updating the listing to explain clearly that the pool, patio and parking are all shared with the neighbor.
Despite the amazing location and set up, I would not rent this property again unless I knew the guests booking the neighboring duplex. Sharing a small pool / patio with strangers is odd to me when it's not set up like a large condo or hotel. I would absolutely consider renting both sides if we brought friends or family with us.
