Very cozy and just so relaxing. The outside area awas great for reading and quiet time.Parking was tricky and perhaps the bushes on the front and back of the space could be pruned.

Location was fantastic. Being close to the beach, shops, and food was ideal. The cottage itself had multiple ants crawling on walls and the floor, into my belongings and even on me. Not the cleanliest and didnt get much sleep knowing I may wake up with ants on me.

Quick little getaway

We enjoyed a quick little getaway to the cape . The cottage was ideal location. Walking distance to the Beach and a quick little drive till are favorite restaurants . Cottage was neat and clean exactly shown on the pictures . Pet friendly which allows us to enjoy are time here even more . The host communicated the whole time and easy work with . Very happy w are stay .

Cute little cottage close to the beach

The property is cute and small. Great location and pretty quiet neighborhood. Definitely old and outdated, but maybe that’s part of the charm? Bathroom scares me a bit, but overall good experience. Highly communicative host.

The cottage was nice enough but there was one huge flaw. There was no way to cook!There is no stove/oven in the cottage. Outside was a nice five burner gas grill. But – no propane! When I contacted the owner he apologized and said the main house next door had a propane tank that we could take. My husband went over there but couldn’t get the tank free. We were going to just use that grill but couldn’t get the gas knob to turn on. Owner was located in NY. He said he had a friend who was local who could help us. But…couldn’t get ahold of him. He then PayPal’d 120 to us for a dinner (as we had already shopped and purchased the makings of a complete dinner with Ribeye steaks). But that didn’t change the fact that we couldn’t cook for our entire week’s stay.

Hyannis guest house

We had a truck and the parking was too small and we called the property manager and she sent someone to cut back the vines. The property was covered in vines to access the gate. We arrived at night and the AC wasn’t on and it took most of the night for it to cool down. There is only one small window AC unit that is very loud. Spiders were everywhere. They don’t show the bathroom and it was very dicey getting in and out of the pink jetted tub that doesn’t work. It is very rustic and located in a great area but needs a lot of work and regular maintenance.

I’m unfortunately leaving this review because the host did not recognize my complaints after my trip let alone my original complaint they just glazed over. So I gave up and focused on my vacation instead of trying to trouble shoot everything. Upon checking in the place WAS clean and lovely- BUT there was no WiFi information supplied, and the tv remotes were dead. What I did immediately find was a note from the cleaning people saying it was greatly appreciated if one wishes to leave a tip. I immediately contacted the host and they were apologetic for the WiFi not being found, and said there should have been a paper with info on it about the property. After searching everywhere I finally found it in a drawer. My complaint about batteries was ignored.The outdoor light was dead, so we had to grill in the dark. Both can openers did not work.The smoke detector began to go off on day 2 of our 4 night stay. We could not find the sound because the smoke detector had been tucked into a drawer unbeknownst to us. We finally found it…The smoke detector did not go off for any reason, given the fact there is no stove inside and thus no way to make smoke. It went off because its batteries were dying. Nails were sticking out of the floor boards, which we unfortunately discovered when we my spouse cut the bottom of his foot on one.I truly wish I could give my stay 5stars, given the great local and cleanliness, but too many things were looked over by the owners/cleaning company.

Mold Saturated Remodeled Garage

On August 19 we arrived at what we thought was our Rental only to be told that it was not our space. Our space was in a remodeled garage in the back with its own separate entrance covered covered in weeds. We open the door after getting the key in the air conditioning wasn’t on it was hot And the stench of mold permeated through the small space we opened up the house and everything out went out for a while left it completely open couldn’t close it. I turned on the air conditioning unit and the mold started pouring out. I took pictures inside the air-conditioning unit just full of mold just black full of mold. This is extremely disappointing I’m going to file a claim to have my money refunded. We had absolutely no air-conditioning the entire trip and had to put up with that mold stink for three nights because everything else was oversold in the area we couldn’t get around Signed disappointing customer!!

Still waiting for a refund

We traveled to Hyannis for a few days and this looked like a property that would fit our needs. Most of the reviews were good, but one or two looked cautionary with regards to cleanliness and bugs in the property. We decided to try it out.I think the property is a converted garage and they ask you to park on the side of it in an alleyway off the main road. The main driveway is for the larger guest house which is another rental property. They have paved one lane between the unit and another building next to it, and it is a bit narrow. It also gets very dark back there at night. When we arrived the property was very humid and smelled like mold. There was a window AC unit, but it was not cooling, just blowing hot air. It needed aired out pretty bad. When I looked around I noticed some larger bugs crawling on the conch and wall. I grabbed some paper towels and killed them, but noticed another on the bed and in the bath tub. As I kept looking I noticed a few more dead one on the bed and counter tops. At that point I decided this was not acceptable. I understand we were the first guests of the year so maybe it needed to break in a little, but that was not going to work for me. I informed the host, but they were not comfortable refunding me unless I sent them pictures. I informed them the dead insects were still on the counter and they could see for themselves. I sent the pictures to VRBO and am in the process of requesting a refund.

Sorry you had such a bad experience Michael, I wish you had actually reached out while you were at the property and saw these issues. The cottage is on a publicly owned side street and therefor we have no control over how wide the road is. When we did finally hear from you, you started the interaction with threatening a bad review unless you got a full refund, before we even knew what your issue was. I had given you my personal cell with the check-in instructions and specifically asked to reach out if anything came up. You provided me with no pictures or evidence of any of your issues until 5 days later and even then they were suspect. I'm not sure if you usually get free stuff by acting like this at bigger chains or hotels. But, we do wish you the best of luck on your future travels!
