Nestled on a peaceful, private lot, it’s ideal for a small family getaway, a romantic couple’s retreat, a ladies’ wine-tasting weekend, a guys’ fishing getaway, or simply a quiet escape surrounded by nature. Wake up in the clouds and enjoy coffee watching the sunrise on the covered porch right on the water. Thoughtful details throughout the property make every stay unforgettable.

To help make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible, here are some highlights of the property and a few house rules:
House Amenities
• Keurig coffee maker, a few pods, sweeteners, creamers, honey, oil, salt, pepper, spices are available.
• Beds are made, bath linens provided, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, dressers and wall hooks for clothes.
• Paper towels, toilet paper, dish pods, laundry pods, dish soap, garbage bags, to get you started.
• Kitchen is stocked with small appliances, cookware, serve ware, glassware, bar ware.
• Beach Towels are available.
• Firewood is provided. Do not use accelerants.
• Dollar General is 2 minutes away on Route 60 for additional needs.

Waterfront
• Enjoy 125 ft of private lakefront, 4 adult bikes, 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, pedal boat, floating mat, yard games, propane grill, & firepit.
• Seawall protects shoreline-Do not throw rocks.
• The lakebed is rocky-uneven depths. No diving.

• Speed limit on the private road is 5 MPH.

• Blue Canoe is in a quiet, family-oriented town.
• Water carries sound—please be courteous.
• Quiet hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (outdoors).

Dog Owners
• The gated covered porch is perfect for dogs.
• Dogs must be treated for fleas, ticks, heartworms
• Dogs should be freshly groomed-trimmed nails.
• Please keep dogs within property boundaries.
• Pick up dog waste and put in gray bin in shed.
• Please vacuum dog hair inside cottage and porch. Thank you for helping us keep Blue Canoe welcoming and dog-friendly for future guests.

Safety Features & Precautions
This property is located on a body of water. Children and dogs must be supervised at all times.
Safety Features include:
• Lockable gated fenced porch.
• Child safety latches on all doors (engage at top).
• 2 pressure-mounted baby gates (under bed).
Safety Precautions include:
• Bring appropriately sized lifejackets for children.
• Water-shoes recommended.
• Please watch children on elevated porch furniture.
• Do not allow anyone to walk on lake ice.
• No Candles.
The fenced porch has a lockable gate. There is movable furniture on the porch. Please attend to children at all times so they do not climb/fall.
There is a combo smoke/carbon monoxide detector in the main living area. Property has a village zone code Officer, fire inspection annually.
There are multiple fire safety devices on the property. Smoke detectors in both bedrooms, hallway and main living area, including carbon monoxide detector. Fire extinguishers in the kitchen, laundry, and hallway. In kitchen island drawer you will find a fire blanket.
There is an exterior ring security camera at the front door facing the driveway parking and road. There are two cameras in the enclosed crawlspace underneath the cottage to monitor water seepage from the lake, furnace, sump pump, water line, and water heater. Guests do not have access to crawlspace.
Important: Safety features help, but adult supervision is always required, especially near water, stairs, elevated heights, and outdoor spaces.

• Do not use white linens for makeup removal. We provide black makeup cloths for your convenience.
