Our Lil Bungalow is 2 blocks away from Old Dominion University and minutes away from Ghent, the Virginia Zoo, and EVMS. With a walk score of 85, there's always something to do and discover. The area's best grocery stores, Fresh Market and Aldi, are 4 minutes away by car.

Our Lil Bungalow sits in the trendy, bustling, college neighborhood of Highland Park, 5 minutes away from downtown Ghent and Lambert's Point. 12 minutes from downtown Norfolk.

We love to walk the 200 ft or so to Hank's Filling station for great BBQ and the life-sized connect four. Cogan's Pizza is also a great option for pizza and lots of beer on tap. For a more upscale atmosphere, Craft is 2 blocks away.

The Lil Bungalow was built in the 1940s and there are some quirks that come with a home of that age. All of the bedrooms are a comfortable size, although the bathroom is on the small side. The floors are not level but are perfectly sound.

Although there is no cable, a smart TV with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and other entertainment apps are available. You can log in with your own account to use these services.

We're all adults. We trust you know what is right and what is wrong. No parties. No smoking inside of the house. You're responsible for policing your children. If you didn't bring it in, don't take it out.

Our cleaners greatly appreciate guests that strip their beds of used linens, leave used towels in a pile, and wash heavily soiled dishes. However, this is not required.

1) Per Vrbo regulations, we ask that the person who books the reservation be the guest (or one of the guests that stays).

2) BUNK BEDS. Kiddos love to jump and play. Please monitor the children and exercise caution. As hosts, we have abided by all of the criteria put forth by the manufacturer.

By booking, you are agreeing that you have read, understand, and will adhere to the manufacturer's instructions (in the photo section) and to the liability waiver that follows:

You understand that being on or around bunk beds is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with being on or around bunk beds. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from being on or around bunk beds and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that being on or around bunk beds may present to children (or adults) who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person being on or around bunk beds while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from being on or around bunk beds. All Vrbo Guests in your party acknowledge and agree that they have read and understand this waiver and they acknowledge that booking constitutes a binding and enforceable contract between Vrbo Guests and Vrbo Host.

3) Per city regulations, we are required to have cameras monitoring the outside of the property. Don't worry, we value your privacy and there are absolutely no recording/video devices inside of the property.
