Very disappointed with this place you definitely got way less than you pay for. Wet bed linen in washer, dry sheets in dryer dirty dust flying off fans. Electric baseboard heater in bathroom looks like it been peed on mini splits the only blew air they failed to cool the place down. A rickety deck in back with tatered and torn awning. Definitely a real disappointment . We didn’t even stay 24 hrs.

The host was very welcoming and friendly. What stood out most was the cleanliness of decor of the home but above all was the location and scenery. Incredible views.

Pros: This was a charming little house right on Lake Ontario, with beautiful views of the Lake. It was quiet and comfortable, easy to find, and a short drive to Niagara Falls. The A/C wall units were really helpful. We really appreciated that it was dog friendly. It was perfect for our small family trip to Niagara Falls and nearby areas.Cons: I am not sure whether this was an issue with the hosts or their cleaning company if they use a third-party cleaning company; but, there were numerous indicators that the house had not been thoroughly cleaned. We let the hosts know upon departure but we did not hear back. The kitchen was not as fully stocked as we would have expected for having a stocked kitchen advertised. Had the house been more thoroughly cleaned/cared for, however, I think we would have been quite content with this property.

A great weekend.

This lake house was a perfect fit for my family. The owner of the property has done a tremendous amount of work to the inside and it shows from the moment you walk in! Sitting on the back deck watching ships & boats pass, super relaxing. Not to mention looking at Toronto on the other side of the lake. Super quiet neighborhood and the surrounding neighbors are friendly. Will definitely book again when we are in the area!

Good time

We were very happy to rent this place. We were especially thankful to be able to stay just one night. There were seven lawn chairs available, not just the two shown in the picture.

Beautiful view

This property was amazing. Kitchen is well stocked. The view of Lake Ontario is amazing. We were lucky to have geese in the morning and evening. It did take a bit to heat up, but once it did, it was very comfortable. Would stay here again.

Tons of flies in the house upon arrival, ac in rooms was turned off, all windows closed. When we got there, outdoor temp was around 100. Bathroom toilet seat was broken, basically just sitting on top of toilet, no attempt at fixing. Human hair on night stands, 3 forks in the kitchen, 3 tiny pans to use. Overgrown grass, Weeds in the backyard, decking on its way out, broken awning so no shade in the afternoon. The water access stairs / deck area looked like it hasn’t been used in years and dangerous to use. The last straw was seeing what appears to be black mold on the ceiling of the bathroom.Called host with all this info and said to write this all down and send him so pics so he could discuss with people he hires to clean. No apologies, no refund options. Said he will just have to paint the ceiling to get rid of mold! I sent him pics asked for some sort of refund (we literally left after staying there for less than an hour). Just didn’t feel clean or healthy with the possible mold issue. No response.

Beautiful views!

Right on the water, beautiful views and sunsets. Inside of house is very clean, updated, and well kept. Nice deck, outside table, and firepit (wood provided). Areas of improvement would be: grass needed to be cut (was very tall, not convenient for having dog), needed a light in front of house/driveway (only small one there was burned out, whole front of house very dark), better communication with owner (was responsive but only on the app, no info given ahead of time, no phone number provided, check-in info was given just hours before arrival time)

Great location on water but…

We enjoyed our weekend and being right on the lake was fantastic. Can’t beat the view but house was just ok. The online listing looked much nicer than in person. The property could definitely use some upgrades. The biggest issue was the insulation. It was pretty windy and cool the weekend we stayed. The 1st night was freezing as the heat took a very long time to warm up the house. PArt of the issue was that the window air conditioners did not seem sealed and there was lots of air coming in. The second day was better. The location was great and we loved our view right on the water, but house needs some TLC. .

Great view, mediocre house, horrible host.

The property is advertised as having air conditioned but it does NOT have AC! We got lucky and it happened to be cool while we were there but I still had to go buy a fan. I never pick places without AC and to claim that it has AC is a pretty big lie. I messaged the host and he ignored me. I told him the AC part was fine but the grass was a foot tall and I asked if he could get someone that to cut it. We wanted to sit by the fire pit but they were so many bugs because of tall grass that it made it a little miserable. He just ignored that too. Everything outside was covered with spider webs. The house looks like it was redone by a homeowner who watched just enough HGTV to attempt remodeling and failed miserably. One of the electric strip heaters was coming off of the wall and the wire was exposed. The window curtains above it were touching the heater and I'm surprised the house hasn't burned down by now. The overhead light in one of the bedrooms was run with an extension cord. The location is spectacular but the house isn't great although the beds were pretty comfortable. The Host doesn't care about anything but your money. A decent host would have at least went by and swept off the spider webs and cut the grass. It would only take two window units to cool the whole place and they would probably cost less than $500 total at walmart. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one was the location.
