Relax with your family and friends at this tranquil place. Take a dip in the pool overlooking the calm pastoral landscape. Hike the hills outside the property. Enjoy the sounds of the sheep bells in the meadows below. Walk to town to explore the wonderful medieval village of Espelette with restaurants and shops. The ocean is just 30 minutes away.
5 bedrooms (1 ensuite), fully equipped kitchen. Spacious deck with plancha. Parking. Fronton and basketball net. Linens/towels provided.
A traditional 5 bedroom Basque house. The house starts up a flight of stairs that you access from the driveway. At the top of the stairs, you will find a large outdoor terrace with a dining table for 10 and a comfortable sitting area. There is an awning so you can enjoy the terrace all day long.
Once inside, there is a spacious full equipped kitchen with a table for 10. There is also a large counter that can be used as additional cooking, dining space. The kitchen windows overlook the bucolic backyard and fields beyond.
Downstairs there is a living room with a TV that opens to the terrace, a dining room with a table for 8 and a toilet room. The first bedroom (with a 160 cm / queen bed) is on this floor with shower and toilet rooms ensuite.
Upstairs, there are two large bedrooms each with a 160 cm / queen bed and a 80 cm bed under the eaves of the house. One of the other bedrooms has a 140 cm / full bed. The final bedroom has 2 80 cm / twin beds (one of which is under the eave). In the hallway there is a toilet room and a room with a bath tub, a shower and a large washer /dryer with a double sink.
Outside there is a pool with a private terrace that has plenty of space to relax after a day sightseeing. The outdoor kitchen has a plancha, cooking space and a dining tables. For added convenience, there is also an outdoor shower and sink.
Towels are provided: 1 bath towel, hand towel and washcloth per person, 1 bathmat per bathroom and and 2 kitchen towels
BED LINENS ARE AN ADDITIONAL OPTION. Linen option is per person 10€ includes bedsheets, Paid upon arrival if option is chosen.
Private parking is available on the driveway in front of the house.

Over 10 years ago, we started renting out our second bedroom in the NYC apartment we shared.
We currently have 2 vacation rental homes in the Hamptons and an enclave with 4 properties and another house in France’s Basque Country.
Joop grew up in Holland but moved to London and then Biarritz France before settling in the US 20 years ago. Sharon grew up on Long Island and lived in NYC for 25 years before moving to more natural environments.
She has a psychology and anthropology degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Creative Studies from the State University of New York.
Joop has a degree in life experience with decades of worldwide adventures. We both believe in having fun and interesting things will follow.
