Your mountain vacation starts here! Just minutes from the cute restaurants/shops of Main Street in New Paltz. Also within easy drive distance to orchards (Twin Star), vineyards (Robibero family) and 15 minutes to the climbing mecca the Shawangunk Mountains.

Theres so much to see here, but when it's time to come home, you can rest assured that we have everything you need. We have all the basics you'd expect like a washer/dryer, wifi, fully stocked kitchen etc. We got you covered!

This is a great option for families that want to have communal time but also a little bit of room to stretch out. Hang out on the patio, let the kids play in the yard, etc.

Our house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (note: both bathrooms have showers, not tubs)

We make an effort to ensure the house is safe, but it may not be ideal for families with very young crawling babies.

We have our home professionally maintained by pest control services, but that doesn't mean its impossible and you may see a bug during your stay. In this rare event, please reach out to us and we will handle it.

We do not allow smoking/vaping, unauthorized guests or pets. Any violation of this rule will result in a $500 fine.

We allow maximum 2 pets, and they must be added in your booking request.

Awesome place to stay for a family!

Great location and home that is fully stocked with anything you need while away from home. Plenty of space for big families and just a few min from town. The owner was very responsive and was available to us as needed. Can’t wait to stay again!

New Paltz house

We stayed at this house for about 5 days. It was nice and we enjoyed staying here. We are Jehovah’s witnesses and it was very close to Walkill and Patterson and Warwick weren’t too far. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Great Location

Great house and location in the Hudson Valley. Value Friendly. Loved having 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms to use. Would stay here again!

Thanksgiving vacation

Nice, clean house that have everything that you need to stay with family for couple days. Beautiful town with many places to go for hiking, farms around where you can buy fresh vegetables and fruits.

Comfy stay in New Paltz

Early spring getaway to do some hiking in Minnewaska State Park - Higashi House was a perfect fit for a cozy stay where we could cook our own meals and relax in the evenings. Pet friendly was also a huge bonus for our four-legged family member! Host was responsive and helpful all the way through. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Nice, well stocked home.

We enjoyed our stay. The home is comfortable. It is stocked with better supplies than any rental we have ever stayed in. It is in a nice location. Not far from the small town restaurants and shopping. We are JW's and felt this was in a great location to visit all the bethel locations and there is a Kingdom Hall a few minutes away with a warm and friendly congregation.

Well stocked pantry

Very comfortable and clean. I liked that there was plenty of coffee and tea and Water in the fridge. Plenty of spices and even cereals.

Cozy, Comfortable, Well Stocked

We were a family of five, four adults and one child. The rental was very comfortable and stocked better than any vacation rental we’ve stayed in before. Communication with the host was easy. The location is convenient to all major highways in the Hudson Valley. The town was very close, but you feel like you are in the country! We would definitely stay here again!

Clean & Convenient

We did a long weekend cycling in the nearby parks. We just rode straight from the house. The house is clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Communication with the host was timely and helpful. Great location. I hope to stay here again.

Great stay but

The house was perfect for the days we stayed. The only hiccup we had was when we arrived the house had not been cleaned-prob the holiday weekend had to do something with it. Joe was very responsive in getting someone to come and get it ready. Other than, we had a phenomenal time in New Paltz.
