Meet Dana, David & Parker! Our vision is to share what we love. We love hiking, waterfalls, biking, beers, fishing and everything outdoors. We also love luxury, and feel everyone needs a bit of luxury in their lives even if for just a short while. So we designed our cabins to give our guests a luxury stay nestled in the outdoors.

Traveling the world has been a passion of ours. Early in our marriage we traveled to Japan, India, China, the Caribbean, and Tenerife Island. While living in Germany from 2014-2017 we traveled to and experienced 24 Countries throughout East and West Europe, the UK, South Asia, Hong Kong, Canada and Mexico. Our travels afforded us a plethora of diverse accommodations and cultural interactions which led to our love of the hospitality industry. It is also why we chose diverse names with significant meanings of the heart for our property and cabins. Meraki, a Greek word, means doing something with soul, love and passion. Ukiyo, Japanese, means living in the moment, detached from the bothers of life. Cynefin, Welsh, means a place where a person feels it out to live and belong, where nature around you feels right and welcoming. Our desire is that each and every one of our guests feels that Meraki Escape is where they belong.

Our residence dog, Parker, is a golden doodle and the sweetest dog in the world, however she is very shy and will run if scared. We also have 2 house cats who spend their lazy days listening to the birds.
