Just south of downtown Minneapolis and walking distance from the Walker Art Center, Loring Park and Eat Street, this one-of-a-kind mid century home has beautiful views of the skyline, a huge private backyard and deck, spacious bedrooms and a stylish kitchen with everything you need for shorter or longer stays.
This is a dog-friendly and kid-friendly home! Please let us know if you’re bringing pets or a baby so we can make sure to provide everything they’ll need.
When you arrive you’ll pull up to a brick mid-century ranch style home with a tuck under garage. You are welcome to use our driveway (can fit two cars, one behind the other) for plenty of off street parking. You will take a set of stairs up off the street and into our home. Once inside you’ll find a stylish, art-filled space that feels like your own little slice of the city — close to downtown but in its own little world.
Picture windows offer sweeping views of our fully fenced-in backyard and the city skyline, and an open floor plan allows for seamless transitions between the entry and dining area, kitchen, and our favorite spot, the cozy and light-filled sunroom.
In our main bedroom, you will find an owner’s suite with an attached nursery room (Pack and Play can be provided upon request), and a walk-in closet with full sized washer and dryer. In the second bedroom, we’ve maintained the original office vibe of the home’s original owner, who was a lawyer and author, complete with wood paneled walls and tons of books you are welcome to read.
Throughout both spaces, you will find lots of local art and music-related items — we are especially passionate about music that comes from Minnesota, and you’ll see that throughout the home.
The space also includes an original 1954 yellow tiled bathroom, which we have lovingly maintained and updated over the years to include a more modern shower.
In the giant backyard, you’ll find lush grapevines, an open yard, and a large patio equipped with a full sized gas grill, dining table, and outdoor sofa and chair for relaxing and enjoying the view.
You will have the entire property to yourself while you are here, and we sincerely hope you enjoy spending time here as much as we do.
