Hi Janelle, I'm glad you found our hosting team responsive and accommodating. I'm disappointed to hear about your frustration with the dishwasher after we offered to have our appliance guy come and address it. I can understand not wanting to be interrupted while on vacation, but sometimes things break and we try to fix them asap so it doesn't lead to more frustration. Since you have left we have replaced the dishwasher with a brand new one. Thank you for mentioning the stopper for the kitchen sink as we were completely unaware of that before and wish we also had a chance to bring one over to you during your stay. Needless to say, we will continue to work toward improvement so that all of our stays can be 5-star stays.

Before addressing the details of this review, we believe it’s important for future guests to understand that during this stay, the guest explicitly stated they would leave a positive review only if we did not remove charges related to damages they incurred. While some of the messaging we received felt vindictive in nature, we chose to handle the situation appropriately rather than agree to conditional feedback. Regarding access to the home, the keyless entry system was functioning properly; however, the guest had difficulty following the provided instructions. We remained available and assisted quickly to walk him through using the smart lock. We also apologize if any areas of the home did not meet expectations upon arrival. Had these concerns been brought to our attention during the stay, we would have addressed them promptly. We provide a starter set of consumables (toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, etc.), which is typically sufficient for 5–7 days. We are always happy to provide additional items upon request—just as we promptly did when more BBQ pellets were requested after the grill was left on and all the pellets in the hopper burned up on the first night. We were surprised by several other claims in this review. We have never previously had guests express concerns about safety in the neighborhood, nor have we experienced a “brush burning season” that would cause any concern or issues as mentioned. It is also important to note that multiple items in the home were damaged during this stay, including the washing machine, which required a service technician. Responsibility for these damages was declined. We are proud of the experience we provide and encourage future guests to read our many other positive reviews across this and our other properties.
